JOB DESCRIPTION – ALGO TRADING STRATEGIST
Role Overview
We are looking for a highly analytical and performance-driven Algo Trading Strategist responsible for developing, optimizing, and executing algorithmic trading strategies. The ideal candidate should possess strong market knowledge, quantitative analytical skills, and expertise in strategy development and execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement new algorithmic trading strategies.
- Handle complete strategy lifecycle including ideation, backtesting, optimization, and execution.
- Monitor existing strategies regularly and identify improvement opportunities.
- Analyze market activity, trends, and trading behavior.
- Design and improve low-slippage execution algorithms for intraday trading.
- Research trading ideas from external platforms, seminars, and social media channels.
- Prepare analytical reports and presentations for management review.
- Maintain proper documentation for trading strategies and models.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of Equity, Derivatives, and Algorithmic Trading.
- Experience in strategy backtesting and optimization.
- Knowledge of automated trading platforms and APIs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced market environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
