Your Role

As an AJO Developer, you will design, implement, and scale eventdriven customer journeys using Adobe Journey Optimizer. You'll translate business objectives into orchestrations that leverage realtime profiles, decisioning, and channel integrationsensuring highly personalized, compliant, and measurable experiences across email, push, inapp, and more.

In this role you will play a key role in:

  • Journey Orchestration & Decisioning
  • Build endtoend eventdriven journeys (batch and realtime), configure triggers, audience entry/exit criteria, decision rules, and fallback logic; create reusable components and templates.
  • Data & Identity Enablement
  • Partner with AEP teams to align XDM schemas, datasets, identities and consent signals; validate profile readiness, audience qualification, and enrichment needed for journey logic.
  • Channel Configuration & Deliverability
  • Set up and maintain email/push/inapp channels, templates, and personalization tokens; apply deliverability best practices (headers, throttling, frequency caps, suppression lists).
  • Testing, QA & Observability
  • Establish robust preprod testing with sandboxes; validate events and payloads; configure monitoring, alerts, and dashboards; perform rootcause analysis on journey failures and message drops.
  • Governance, Privacy & Compliance
  • Implement consent gating, data usage labels, and audience policies; collaborate with privacy/security on GDPR/CCPA/DPDP adherence and PII handling.
  • Performance & Optimization
  • Optimize qualification rules, decisions, and channel throughput; run A/B tests, analyze lift, and iterate on targeting, cadence, and creative for continuous improvement.
  • Collaboration & Enablement
  • Document designs, create runbooks and playbooks; support marketers and product teams with training and best practices; contribute to standards for journey design and release management.

Your Profile

  • Experience: 37 years in MarTech/CRM/Marketing Automation; 13+ years handson with Adobe Journey Optimizer or equivalent orchestration platforms.
  • Mindset: Customercentric, datadriven, with a bias for automation, reliability, and measurable outcomes.
  • Communication: Able to translate journey logic and data requirements into clear technical and business artifacts.
  • Collaboration: Comfortable working with analytics, engineering, marketing ops, and privacy/compliance stakeholders.

  1. Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) Orchestration
  2. Building realtime and batch journeys, configuring events, decisions, audience rules, offer personalization, templates, and channel settings.
  3. AEP Integration & Identity (XDM/Profiles/Audiences)
  4. Strong grasp of XDM schemas, datasets, Identity Service, audience segmentation, and consent management as inputs to AJO.
