AIX/Linux Admin

Job Description:

• An AIX Linux admin is responsible for managing and maintaining AIX Linux systems
• An AIX Linux administrator is responsible for the installation configuration maintenance and troubleshooting of systems running AIX OS
• Ensuring the high availability of AIX Linux operating system

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and support AIX and Linux servers RHEL CentOS SUSE
• Perform installation configuration patching and upgrades of OS and related tools
• Monitor system performance troubleshoot issues and ensure optimal uptime
• Manage user access file systems and security policies
• Handle LVM file system management and disk administration
• Support backup and recovery operations
• Work on server hardening and vulnerability remediation
• Coordinate with application teams for deployments and issue resolution
• Maintain documentation and follow ITIL based processes incident change management

Technical Requirements:

• Strong experience in AIX and Linux system administration
• Knowledge of shell scripting KSH Bash
• Understanding of networking concepts TCP IP DNS NFS
• Experience with virtualization LPARs VIOS for AIX
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and system logs analysis
• Exposure to backup tools and disaster recovery practices
• Basic understanding of security compliance and patch management
