Job Description
We are looking for an AI Automation Specialist with strong hands-on expertise in Airtable to support a strategic client engagement. This is not a typical Airtable user role — we need someone who can think strategically about how Airtable should be architected for complex workflows, and then actually build and implement those solutions end-to-end. The ideal candidate is a systems-thinker with a builder mindset — someone comfortable working as an ongoing partner for the client's Airtable needs, from brainstorming new use cases to hands-on execution and training stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Advisory & Solution Design
- Partner with stakeholders to brainstorm, evaluate, and define how Airtable can solve operational and workflow challenges
- Audit existing Airtable setups and identify gaps, inefficiencies, or under-utilized capabilities
- Design end-to-end solutions including base architecture, relational data structures, and automation logic Execution & Implementation
- Build and deploy Airtable bases, interfaces, automations, and scripting from scratch or from existing setups
- Integrate Airtable with enterprise tools (e.g., HubSpot, Zendesk, Slack, Snowflake) using APIs, webhooks, Zapier, or Make
- Connect Airtable backends to client-facing portals using tools like Softr or Glide
- Ensure data hygiene, integrity, and reliable automation logic across all builds Ongoing Partnership & Enablement
- Serve as the dedicated Airtable partner for the client — available for ongoing needs, iterations, and new use cases
- Document workflows, write SOPs, and train internal client teams on built systems
- Troubleshoot broken logic, failed automations, and data inconsistencies quickly and independently AI & Advanced Integrations
- Integrate AI tools (OpenAI APIs, Claude, and others) directly into Airtable workflows where applicable
- Identify opportunities to move from manual processes to AI-assisted automation within the client's operations
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 4 – 8 years of hands-on experience in no-code/low-code automation or operations systems roles
- Deep Airtable expertise: relational base design, complex formulas, interfaces, automations, and Airtable scripting
- Strong automation stack experience: Zapier, Make (Integromat), or n8n — ability to pass data between apps using APIs and webhooks
- Experience connecting Airtable to enterprise tools (HubSpot, Zendesk, Salesforce, Snowflake, or similar)
- Frontend/portal tool experience: Softr, Glide, or Webflow to build client-facing interfaces on top of Airtable
- Working knowledge of JavaScript/JSON and basic SQL
- Proven ability to work independently, manage client relationships, and deliver with minimal supervision
Preferred Skills
- Experience with AI API integrations (OpenAI, Claude, ElevenLabs, or similar tools embedded in workflows)
- Background in startup, agency, or international client-facing environments
- Exposure to enterprise data workflows, reporting automation, or CRM systems
- Experience building onboarding flows, applicant trackers, or project management systems using Airtable
- Familiarity with Airtable's API limits, rate limits, and architectural best practices at scale Core Competencies Systems Thinking Builder Mindset Client Partnership Execution Excellence Automation-First Approach Attention to Data Integrity Stakeholder Communication Success Indicators
- Client is able to rely on you as a true Airtable thought partner — not just an implementer
- Airtable systems are well-architected, documented, and adopted by client teams
- Automations run reliably with minimal manual intervention or errors
- New use cases are proactively identified and brought to the client before they ask
- Client confidence and satisfaction scores remain consistently high
