Job Summary
To ensure the continuing airworthiness, certification, and safe release to service of C-130J aircraft by effectively managing inspections, maintenance activities, troubleshooting, rectification, and compliance with OEM, regulatory, and safety requirements, supporting operational and mission readiness.
Required Skills
- In-depth knowledge of C-130J or C 17 systems and maintenance documentation.

Responsibilities
- Airworthiness & Certification
- Responsible for certification and Airworthiness Release (AR) of C-130J aircraft, with specific accountability for airframe and engine systems.
- Ensure aircraft are maintained in accordance with approved maintenance programs, OEM documentation, and regulatory requirements.
- Review, assess, and certify maintenance actions prior to Release to Service (RTS).
- Monitor aircraft status, deferred defects, MEL/CDL items, and ensure timely rectification.
- Inspection, Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Conduct and supervise scheduled and unscheduled inspections on airframe and engine systems.
- Perform troubleshooting, fault isolation, and rectification of complex technical issues.
- Provide technical guidance to maintenance teams during defect investigation and repairs.
- Ensure proper use of approved tools, test equipment, and maintenance practices.
- Compliance & Regulatory Adherence
- Ensure compliance with OEM manuals, including AMM, EMM, SRM, IPC, T.O.s, and service bulletins.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory standards (DGCA / Military Airworthiness Authority / Customer-specific requirements, as applicable).
- Monitor and implement Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs), Modifications, and Technical Instructions.
- Documentation & Record Management
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and traceability of all maintenance documentation and aircraft records.
- Verify job cards, work orders, defect logs, modification records, and certification entries.
- Maintain aircraft technical logs and ensure timely data entry into maintenance management systems & Operational Support.
- Coordinate with operations, planning, logistics, and quality teams to ensure aircraft availability.
- Provide technical support to meet flight schedules, mission requirements, and operational commitments.
- Participate in aircraft recovery, AOG situations, and field maintenance support as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, or equivalent Experience.
- Proven experience in C-130J aircraft maintenance, certification, or airworthiness management.
- Strong exposure to airframe and engine systems in a military or defence aviation environment.
