Role & Responsibilities
  • Lead sales efforts in air export/import freight forwarding, targeting direct customers (BCOs).
  • Handle full sales cycle: prospecting, quoting, negotiating, order booking, rate contracts, and post-sales support.
  • Achieve monthly targets for volume (60tonnes) and revenue.
  • Manage customer accounts: nurture relationships, upsell value-added services, and resolve operational issues.
  • Coordinate internally with operations, pricing, and finance for capacity, rate negotiation, and billing.
  • Monitor market trends, airline rates, competitor activities, and regulatory developments.
  • Maintain CRM records, sales forecasts, and reports for management review.
Required Qualifications
  • 716 years in air freight forwarding sales with a freight forwarder.
  • Deep understanding of air freight operations, documentation (AWB, Incoterms), customs processes, and airline networks.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, interpersonal, and customer relationship abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems.
  • Familiarity with airfreight booking systems (e.g., CargoWise, SFM) preferred.
  • IATA and DGR credentials are a plus.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Proven track record in managing 60+ tonnes/month, meeting volume and revenue KPIs.
  • Previously handled direct clients (importers/exporters), not through sub-agents.
  • Able to work across teamspricing, operations, financefor smooth shipment execution.
  • Comfortable in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines and shifting market rates.
  • Data-driven mindsetanalyzes pipeline and performance to adapt strategies effectively.
  • Strong business acumen with a focus on profitability and client retention.
