Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Air Freight Pricing & Procurement Manager to drive competitive pricing strategies, manage airline relationships, andsupport business growth through effective cost management and marketintelligence. This role plays a key part in ensuring profitability, securingcapacity, and delivering optimal pricing solutions to internal stakeholders andcustomers.
Key Responsibilities
Pricing & Procurement
- Manage and maintain air freight pricing, including spot quotations, tariff rates, and contract pricing
- Lead airline rate procurement activities to ensure competitive and market-aligned pricing
- Negotiate rates, space allocation, and capacity commitments with airlines, GSAs, and partners
- Optimize pricing structures to maximize profitability and margins
Business Development, Commercial Support & RFQ Management
- Identify and develop new business opportunities by analysing market freight data and proposing competitive pricing strategies
- Drive business acquisition through proactive pricing solutions for target customers
- Actively support and lead RFQs, tenders, and bidding processes for prospective and existing accounts
- Partner closely with Sales teams to deliver strategic pricing solutions that improve win rates
- Provide timely and effective pricing support to meet customer requirements and commercial objectives
Market Intelligence & Analysis
- Monitor and analyse market trends, rate fluctuations, and competitor pricing
- Research and identify opportunities to enhance pricing competitiveness
- Maintain visibility on airline costing, flight routes, and capacity conditions
Carrier Management & Coordination
- Build and maintain strong relationships with airlines, GSAs, and strategic partners
- Ensure effective communication on surcharge updates, market changes, and carrier notices
- Optimize loading plans and space utilization based on daily allotments
Internal Collaboration & Compliance
- Work closely with Operations, Sales, and Overseas offices to align pricing strategies
- Ensure compliance with company pricing policies and approval processes
- Maintain and update pricing systems, databases, and tools for operational efficiency
- Provide support for customer escalations related to pricing and capacity issues
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 58 years of experience in Air Freight Pricing, Procurement, or Commercial Management.
- Strong knowledge of airline pricing structures, capacity management, and global air freight market dynamics.
- Experience in RFQ/RFP management and multinational customer accounts.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
- Proficiencyin Excel, pricing tools, and freight forwarding systems.
