Job Description

About us:

At eCultify, we sit at the intersection of creative storytelling, culture, and technology. We create everything from fast-paced social content and digital campaigns to branded films, podcasts, performance creatives, and AI-led visual experiments.

We are looking for an AI Visualiser who understands that creating a strong visual is not simply about writing a prompt and choosing the most attractive output. It is about understanding the idea, building the right composition, controlling the details, and making every element work for the brand.

You should be equally comfortable working inside a layered Photoshop file and an AI generation tool. Strong design skills and strong AI skills are both essential. You will be expected to generate, design, refine, and finish the work yourself.

You will collaborate closely with creative strategists, copywriters, designers, editors, and account managers to turn briefs and ideas into sharp, brand-ready visuals. You should be able to develop a distinctive campaign visual and carry the same thinking into a series of everyday social creatives.

Role: AI Visualiser

Location: Andheri East, Mumbai

Role & Responsibilities

1. The Visual Thinker

You will take briefs, scripts, references, and creative direction and turn them into clear, compelling visual ideas.

Your role is not limited to finding a reference and generating something similar. You will decide what the visual needs to communicate, identify the strongest way to show it, and build the right composition, setting, lighting, and overall treatment.

You should be able to judge when a visual needs scale, when it needs simplicity, and when an impressive-looking image is doing very little for the actual idea.

2. AI With Intent

You will use generative AI to create characters, environments, product settings, campaign visuals, and other assets based on the requirements of the brief.

You should understand how to work with prompts, references, image-to-image generation, selective edits, and image extensions to guide the output. When something is close but not quite right, you should be able to identify what needs to change and work towards it deliberately.

A new prompt should not mean losing everything that was working in the previous image. You will be expected to preserve approved compositions, characters, products, and visual treatments while making specific improvements.

3. Design & Finishing

You will take AI-generated assets into Photoshop, Illustrator, and other relevant design tools and turn them into complete, polished creatives.

This includes retouching, compositing, masking, colour correction, typography, layout, brand integration, and format adaptations. You should be able to combine generated imagery with approved photographs, product assets, logos, and copy without making the final visual feel assembled from different sources.

You will also be expected to design independently when a brief requires it. Knowing how to generate a background does not replace knowing where the headline should sit, how the product should be framed, or why the composition feels unbalanced.

4. Campaign Consistency

You will create visuals across social media, digital advertisements, campaign key visuals, websites, presentations, and other brand requirements.

You should understand that one strong image does not automatically become a strong campaign. Characters, products, lighting, colour, and visual style need to hold together across multiple assets. Adaptations should retain the idea while giving the copy and brand elements the space they need.

You will check product shapes, packaging, logos, proportions, and other important details against approved references. If the tool cannot reproduce something accurately, you should know how to resolve it through design and compositing.

5. Creative Collaboration

You will work closely with the creative and strategy teams before and during execution.

You should be able to understand campaign objectives, brand tonality, visual references, and feedback. When a direction is not working, you are expected to raise it early and recommend a stronger visual solution.

We are looking for someone who contributes visual thinking—not someone who simply waits for a prompt, generates a few options, and passes the finishing work to another designer.

6. Quality, Speed & Ownership

AI can make parts of the process faster, but speed cannot become an excuse for unfinished work.

You will be responsible for meeting timelines, managing multiple projects, communicating delays early, and ensuring that every output is ready before it is shared. Distorted hands, inconsistent faces, incorrect products, broken text, poor cut-outs, and mismatched shadows should not become someone else's checklist.

You will maintain organised working files, references, prompts, versions, and exports. You should actively explore new tools and techniques, but also know when to stop generating and make the correction yourself.

The Mindset You Bring

Design & AI, Equally Strong: You take both parts of the role seriously. You can build a strong creative in design software and use AI with enough control to execute the visual direction the brief requires.

Idea Before Output: You understand that an image can look impressive and still miss the brief. Your decisions are driven by the message, the audience, and what the brand needs to communicate.

High Visual Sensibility: You have a sharp eye for composition, typography, lighting, colour, perspective, and detail. You can identify when a visual feels generic, cluttered, artificial, or inconsistent with the brand.

Fiercely Proactive: You do not wait until the final review to flag missing assets, incorrect products, weak references, or an unclear brief. You identify issues early and actively suggest solutions.

Open to Feedback: You can receive feedback without becoming defensive, understand the reasoning behind revisions, and improve the work without unnecessarily changing everything that has already been approved.

Organised & Reliable: Your layers, files, versions, and exports are structured. Your team should not need you to open five different folders to find the visual the client approved.

Curious & Adaptable: You follow design, photography, advertising, and visual culture alongside new AI tools. You are willing to learn a better workflow instead of repeating the same prompt, treatment, or style for every brand.

The Core Skills Required

  • 1–3 years of professional experience in graphic design, visual design, digital art, or a related creative role, with hands-on experience creating AI-led visuals. Agency experience will be an advantage.
  • Strong command of Adobe Photoshop for retouching, compositing, masking, colour correction, and final finishing.
  • Working proficiency in Adobe Illustrator for typography, vector elements, layouts, and brand assets.
  • Hands-on proficiency in image-generation tools such as Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, Stable Diffusion, FLUX, ChatGPT image generation, or similar platforms. You should be confident in at least one and able to explain how it fits into your design workflow.
  • Practical understanding of prompting, reference-based generation, image-to-image workflows, selective editing, and maintaining consistency across outputs.
  • Good understanding of composition, typography, colour theory, lighting, perspective, and visual hierarchy.
  • Ability to create complete brand creatives by combining AI-generated imagery, manual design, approved assets, and copy.
  • Ability to work across vertical, horizontal, and square formats and manage multiple projects and revisions within tight timelines.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating both design skills and AI execution. Include examples showing the initial generation, your refinements, and the finished creative, with your contribution clearly explained.
  • Working knowledge of Figma will be an advantage. Familiarity with LoRAs, After Effects, or AI video platforms will be an added advantage.

This role is not the best fit if:

You only know how to prompt: You can generate attractive images but struggle to build layouts, work with typography, composite assets, or finish the creative yourself.

You only bring design skills: You are comfortable with design software but have no practical experience using AI to develop and refine visuals. This role requires working capability in both.

You require step-by-step instructions: You wait for someone else to decide the reference, prompt, composition, and treatment and are uncomfortable suggesting a stronger visual direction.

You use the same visual style for everything: Every brand ends up with the same cinematic lighting, glossy finish, surreal setting, or familiar AI aesthetic, regardless of what the brief requires.

You overlook obvious errors: You leave distorted details, incorrect products, inconsistent faces, or awkward typography in the final output because the overall image looks good enough.

You struggle with feedback: You take revisions personally, repeatedly miss comments, or regenerate the entire visual when only one part needs to change.

You disappear when timelines get tight: You avoid communicating delays, raise issues too late, or depend on constant follow-ups to complete assigned work.

One Last Thing. Show Us Your Reaction.

Send us an AI-generated image of yourself reading this JD and scratching your head. Make it funny. Make it unmistakably you.

Choose any visual style, then use your design skills to finish it. Submit it with your assignment, along with the tools used and one line on what you refined.
