AI Video Editor / Creative Technologist
About the Role
We are seeking a creative and technically proficient AI Video Editor to revolutionize our content production workflow. This role is for a creative technologist who will leverage artificial intelligence and automation frameworks to accelerate high-quality video creation, maintain brand consistency, and optimize visual assets for multi-platform distribution. You will operate at the intersection of creative direction and automation engineering, helping our digital marketing agency produce more engaging content in less time without compromising quality or compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- AI Workflow and Automation: Develop and execute AI-assisted pipelines that integrate generative tools with traditional video editing and visual effects software.
- Video Generation: Generate high-quality video content for a variety of purposes, including marketing campaigns, product demos, social media content, and long-form YouTube series.453
- Content Repurposing: Efficiently repurpose long-form video into short-form assets (shorts/reels) optimized for platform-specific framing, safe areas, and performance KPIs such as watch-time and click-through.
- Creative Editing: Assemble raw footage into polished, cohesive narratives, optimizing pacing, flow, and continuity. Shape narratives, optimize pacing, and reinforce brand tone through consistent visual identity, applying LUTs, typography systems, and motion templates aligned with brand guidelines.
- Technical Post-Production: Input music, dialogues, graphics, and effects. Apply color correction, sound design, and audio mixing. Oversee the post-production pipeline from raw footage ingestion to final export, meeting technical spec sheets and delivery standards.
- Quality Control (QC) & Optimization: QC final exports for sync, captions, and accessibility. Analyze video performance metrics and use engagement dashboards and A/B testing data to continuously optimize content and refine edit pacing and thumbnail strategy.
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with producers, creative directors, marketing strategists, and paid media teams to translate creative briefs and feedback into timely, iterative edits that meet strategic goals and business outcomes.
- Asset Management: Implement and maintain organized media management, including proxy workflows, naming conventions, bins, markers, version control, and file hygiene.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years of hands-on professional video editing and motion graphics experience, preferably in a fast-paced agency or corporate environment.
- Software Expertise: Expert-level proficiency in industry-standard editing suites:
- Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects.
- Strong skills in color correction using tools like DaVinci Resolve or similar
- Familiarity with Final Cut Pro is a plus.
- AI Tool Proficiency: Demonstrated experience creating AI-driven content and strong working proficiency with AI platforms to enhance storytelling and efficiency. Experience with tools such as Runway, Sora, Veo, Midjourney, and Kling.ai is highly valued.
- Creative Skills: Exceptional visual storytelling ability, keen eye for detail, and a strong understanding of timing, motivation, and continuity.
- Technical Knowledge: Advanced skills in generating and manipulating visuals through prompting techniques, motion graphics, and visual effects
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize deadlines, and deliver high-quality work under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)
- Experience in a digital marketing agency.
- A strong portfolio or reel showcasing a wide range of video work, demonstrating exceptional storytelling and technical proficiency.
- Familiarity with other AI tools like Freepik's Image Generator, Freepik's AI Suite, or Google Vids/Veo 3.
- Experience or comfort with camera handling and videography.
- Experience managing post schedules and deliveries across different formats and platforms.
