About the role
This is a new, highly visible role at the intersection of technology, operations, and organisational change. Your mission: systematically identify where AI can create value across the enterprise – in Finance, Tech, Data, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Logistics, People, and beyond – then turn those opportunities into a concrete plan and make it real.
You are equal parts explorer and operator. You can sit with a finance controller in the morning to understand their invoice workflow, sketch an AI-assisted solution in the afternoon, and run a structured rollout programme the rest of the week. You bring order, prioritisation, and follow-through to a topic that is moving fast and touching everyone.
What you will do
•Discover — Map AI opportunities across all departments through structured discovery: interviews, process walkthroughs, and data analysis to build a prioritised use-case portfolio
•Plan — Build and own the company-wide AI roadmap, with clear business cases, prioritisation criteria (value, feasibility, risk), and a transparent backlog stakeholders can trust
•Deploy — Drive implementation of AI solutions end-to-end – from quick wins using off-the-shelf AI tools and agents to deeper integrations with our internal teams and technology partners
•Operate — Establish AI operations: monitoring adoption, measuring impact and ROI, maintaining solutions in production, and continuously improving them
•Enable — Champion change management: training, internal communication, office hours, and playbooks that turn sceptics into power users across the company and partner teams
•Govern — Define guardrails for responsible AI use – data protection (GDPR), EU AI Act readiness, vendor due diligence, and clear usage policies
•Source — Evaluate vendors, tools, and build-vs-buy decisions; manage budgets and external partners where needed
•Communicate — Report progress to leadership with crisp, structured updates – you make the AI programme legible to the whole company
What you bring
•Exceptional organisation and structure: you have run multi-stakeholder programmes or transformation initiatives and are known for bringing clarity to ambiguity
•Genuine, hands-on AI application savvy: you actively work with LLMs, AI assistants, agents, and automation tools, and you understand what current AI can and cannot do in a business context
•3–7+ years in programme/project management, business operations, digital transformation, consulting, or a comparable role – ideally with AI or automation initiatives you can point to
•Strong stakeholder management across very different audiences: engineers, marketers, warehouse leads, finance controllers, HR partners
•Solid data and process literacy: you can read a process map, question a metric, and scope requirements that a technical team can build against
•A pragmatic, outcome-first mindset: pilots that ship beat strategies that sit in slides
•Fluent English & E-comm knowledge a plus
Nice to have
•Experience in e-commerce, retail, or marketplace-driven businesses
•Familiarity with the kinds of systems found in a scaled e-commerce group: ERP (e.g. SAP), PIM (e.g. Akeneo), shop platforms, helpdesk and ticketing tools, BI/dashboarding
•Light technical skills (SQL, Python, API basics, prompt engineering, low-code/automation platforms) – enough to prototype and to speak credibly with engineers
•Exposure to AI governance topics such as the EU AI Act or model risk management
