The AI Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and operationalizing AI-powered Security Agents built on Azure. This role owns all aspects of agent reasoning, tool execution (KQL, APIs), RAG pipelines, prompt engineering, and domain intelligence for security use cases (PIR, CTI, compliance, SOC triage, threat modelling).
What will your job look like
Design and develop multi-agent architectures (planner, reasoning engine, tool adapters).
• Build KQL generation logic for Sentinel & Log Analytics with Auxiliary table enrichment.
• Develop Azure AI Search–based RAG pipelines over ADLS (RAW + CURATED).
• Implement tool adapters for Sentinel API, Defender XDR API, Graph API, and ADLS.
• Create security-specific reasoning workflows (PIR, CTI clustering, drift analysis, vuln impact).
• Build automation for playbooks (Logic Apps) with human-in-the-loop approvals.
• Implement safety controls: PII masking, hallucination reduction, deterministic guardrails.
• Design evaluation frameworks for agent quality, observability, and performance.
• Collaborate with Cloud, Data, and AI Ops for deployment and governance.

Required Skills
• Strong experience with Azure OpenAI / AI Foundry models.
• Expertise in KQL and Log Analytics Workspaces.
• Experience with Azure Functions / Container Apps.
• Deep familiarity with Microsoft Sentinel & Defender XDR.
• Strong Python or TypeScript/Node development experience.
• Experience with RAG, embeddings, vector indexing, chunking strategies.
• Knowledge of multi-agent systems and tool-based LLM architectures.
