AI Research Engineer (Entry-Level)

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Entry-Level AI Research Engineer located in Chennai. The AI Research Engineer will be responsible for assisting in research and development of AI models, implementing and testing new algorithms, and collaborating with senior researchers. Day-to-day tasks include working on neural networks, natural language processing (NLP), pattern recognition, and contributing to software development projects aimed at enhancing our AI systems.

Core Responsibilities

• Design and build Python-driven solutions tailored for data analysis and machine learning experiments
• Team up with senior research engineers to ideate and test out novel AI architectures and workflows
• Explore open-source AI modelstraining, fine-tuning, and adapting them to different usecases
• Handle large datasets with libraries like pandas and NumPy to support model insights and improvements
• Maintain high code quality through clean documentation, structured debugging, and peer collaboration
• Run controlled experiments to validate model behaviors and optimize performance
• Gain exposure to high-performance hardware environments including GPUs like RTX6000 Ada and H200
• Stay aligned with emerging trends and breakthroughs in AI and ML research

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Neural Networks and Natural Language Processing (NLP)
• Background in Computer Science and Pattern Recognition
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
• Relevant internships or project experience in AI research is a plus
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
