The Opportunity
We're partnering with an innovative technology company building next-generation AI-powered SaaS products for highly regulated industries. As part of a growing engineering team, they are looking for an AI Product Developer who is passionate about using modern AI development tools to accelerate software delivery and product innovation.
This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll leverage AI-assisted development, cloud-native technologies, and modern software engineering practices to build scalable products from concept through to production.
The successful candidate will work within an AWS-first environment, collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, UX, and Domain teams to develop intelligent software solutions that solve complex business challenges.
The Role
As an AI Product Developer, you'll be responsible for designing, building, testing, and improving AI-enabled product capabilities. You'll use modern AI coding assistants and development platforms to accelerate development while maintaining high standards of quality, security, and maintainability.
The role is ideal for someone who enjoys building products quickly, experimenting with emerging AI technologies, and working in a fast-paced environment where innovation is encouraged.
Key Responsibilities
AI-Assisted Product Development
- Leverage AI tools to accelerate coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and software delivery
- Convert product requirements, user stories, and workflows into production-ready software
- Collaborate with engineers to transform prototypes into scalable product features
- Evaluate and refine AI-generated code to ensure security, performance, and maintainability
- Explore emerging AI development approaches and identify opportunities to improve delivery speed
Product Engineering
- Develop and enhance cloud-native application features and services
- Build integrations, APIs, workflows, and user-facing functionality
- Collaborate with product teams to understand business requirements and translate them into software solutions
- Contribute across front-end, back-end, data, and integration layers where required
- Continuously improve system performance, reliability, and scalability
AWS Cloud Development
- Build solutions using AWS-native services and cloud-first architecture principles
- Support serverless, event-driven, containerised, and API-driven architectures
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on deployment, monitoring, and operational excellence
- Develop secure integrations between internal systems, customer platforms, and third-party services
- Contribute to cloud optimisation, observability, and cost-effective engineering practices
Software Delivery
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, sprint planning, and backlog refinement
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release processes
- Identify technical risks and opportunities for architectural improvement
- Support troubleshooting, debugging, and issue resolution activities
Collaboration & Innovation
- Work closely with Product Managers, UX/UI teams, Engineers, and Business Stakeholders
- Help define practical technical solutions for complex business requirements
- Contribute to proof-of-concepts, prototypes, and rapid experimentation initiatives
- Balance innovation and delivery while maintaining engineering quality standards
Required Skills & Experience
- Commercial experience in Software Engineering, Product Development, Full Stack Development, Cloud Engineering, or a related field
- Hands-on experience using AI tools to support software development workflows
- Strong experience developing applications using modern programming languages and frameworks
- Experience with cloud platforms, ideally AWS
- Understanding of APIs, integrations, authentication, databases, and modern application architectures
- Experience working with Git, version control, and collaborative development practices
- Knowledge of testing, debugging, documentation, and software quality principles
- Ability to translate business requirements into working software solutions
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience working within Agile development environments
