Job Description

AI Product Builder @Recur Club

Build at the frontier.

Be at the cutting edge of AI applied to finance - and the adjacent problems no one has cracked. You won't polish someone else's product. You'll define what AI-native underwriting becomes, and change how business lending works in India and the world.

About Recur Club

We're a category-defining brand for business debt.

Recur Club is India's first AI-native debt marketplace, connecting founders directly with lenders through a technology-first, agent-driven ecosystem that strips the friction out of debt.

Our platform AICA uses AI to automate manual operations, power sophisticated underwriting, and run thousands of complex credit policies — matching businesses to the right capital partners in a fraction of the time. This role sits at the core of how AICA underwrites.

What You Own

  • Ship 0-to-1, eval-driven AI features for AICA's underwriting. You collapse the PM → eng → PM loop: decide what to build, build it, prove it works, ship it. No handoffs, no waiting on a spec.
  • The full loop. Discovery to prototype to eval to production. You decide, build, and prove.
  • Complex prototypes in the codebase. Extraction, classification, agents, RAG, decisioning aids — working builds, not docs.
  • Shipping with the pod. Build and ship into the AICA codebase, then spec the hardening so engineers can productionize — not throw prototypes over the wall.
  • The AI bet. Talk to analysts and users, then pick the highest-leverage thing to build.
  • Reusable leverage. Turn what works into tools, prompts, and playbooks.

How You're Measured

  • Document-to-insight under 30 minutes — the headline number.
  • Velocity of validated AI features — prototype to accuracy-proven.
  • Production adoption of what you ship.
  • Eval-proven accuracy lift on the tasks you own.

What You Won't Be Doing

  • Managing people or running status meetings.
  • Waiting on a handoff, or shipping a prototype and walking away.
  • Backlog grooming and roadmap theatre.
  • Shipping on vibes.

Must Have

  • 3–5 years shipping software, with AI features live in production — not demos.
  • Shipping engineer in the codebase — Python or TypeScript, LLM orchestration, agents, RAG. Uses AI to do the work (Cursor, Claude Code), not just to research. AI-for-content-only won't cut it.
  • Fast 0-to-1 builder — ambiguous problem to working build in days. High agency, no spec needed.
  • Product judgment, AI-first — frames the right problem, not just a pretty solution; knows what to build and why.
  • Eval-driven — measures accuracy. Non-negotiable.
  • Clear, concise communicator — collaborates cleanly across engineering, design, and analytics, and writes specs the pod can run with.

Nice to Have

  • Fintech, lending, or B2B SaaS.
  • A feel for how data unlocks credit products.
  • B.Tech and/or MBA from a top-tier institution.
  • Ex-founder or forward-deployed engineer background.

Compensation & Culture

  • Salary and equity that make you an owner.
  • Zero bureaucracy. High trust. Outcomes over hours.
  • Not a 9-to-5. If you want balance, look elsewhere.
  • If you want to build something that matters — and learn faster than anywhere else — you'll thrive.
