Why this role exists
Rocket Equities is a boutique mid-market M&A advisory firm operating alongside Rocket Capital (Private Equity, Venture Capital, and Private Credit).
We're building toward a future where every repeatable workflow is augmented or run by AI agents from deal origination and CIM prep to investor outreach and diligence coordination.
This is not a strategy, PM, or support role.
This is a builder role.

Your mandate
Your single objective is simple and measurable: Increase the percentage of business processes handled by AI agents and reduce human hours per completed transaction, month over month.
What you'll do:
First 30 days
- Sit with analysts, associates, VPs, partners, and ops teams to map recurring workflows
- Break processes into automatable steps
- Identify and prioritize high-impact, low-complexity automations
Days 3060
- Build and deploy 35 production-ready AI agents
- Examples:
- Deal screening summaries
- Buyer long-list generation
- CIM formatting and data extraction
- Meeting notes CRM updates
- Comparable company analysis
- Document and roll out agents for real usage
Days 6090
- Drive adoption, iterate based on feedback
- Run weekly agent office hours
- Track usage, breakpoints, and hours saved
- Report directly to the CEO with automation KPIs
Ongoing
- Continuously spot new automation opportunities
- Improve agents as tooling evolves
- Own the firm's automation dashboard and results
Skills we're looking for:
Must-have:
- Strong Python (you write production code)
- Hands-on experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic/Claude)
- Built multi-step agents using LangChain, CrewAI, n8n, or similar
- Experience integrating agents with tools like Slack, Monday.com, email, spreadsheets, CRMs
- Ability to map messy business processes into clean, automatable steps
- Excellent spoken and written English (non-negotiable)
Nice-to-have:
- Make / Zapier
- SQL or basic database work
- REST APIs
- Cloud deployment (AWS/GCP)
- PDF and document automation
Mindset:
- Builder > planner
- Ships fast, iterates faster
- Thinks in ROI and hours saved, not cool tech
- Comfortable pushing adoption with senior stakeholders
Ideal background:
- 36 years total experience
- Titles like: Automation Engineer, Tech Consultant, AI Engineer, Internal Tools Engineer, Product Ops
- Experience from:
- Consulting tech practices (Deloitte, Accenture, EY, PwC, KPMG) with hands-on build work
- Product or fintech companies building internal tools
- Strong independent builders with a real deployment portfolio
Compensation:
- 18 LPA all-in ( 2,100 USD/month)
- Performance bonus tied to automation KPIs
- 3-month contract-to-hire full-time
