Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Director of Software Engineering to lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced Agentic applications powered by AI/LLM services and AI protections. As AI becomes integral to software development, this role offers a unique opportunity to shape and contribute to a fast-growing consumer business that protects millions of customersright from one of India's most vibrant cities. You will bring strong expertise in AI-driven product development, cloud-native engineering, and consumer product innovation, using AI both throughout the SDLC and in building and operating products.
This is a Hybrid position located at our Bangalore, India development center. You will be required to be on-site 2 to 3 days per week. When you are not working on-site, you will be working from your home office. We are only considering candidates within a commutable distance to our Bangalore office and are not offering relocation assistance at this time.
About The Role
- In this role, you will require to have deep cloud experience and modern AI tooling skills, including proficiency in GoLang, MCP (Model Context Protocol), LLMs, and fullstack development on AWS.
- You should have a passion for creating consumer products and be eager to join a collaborative team focused on delivering bestinclass experiences while leading a high-performing engineering group.
- You should be able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders while demonstrating adaptability, strong communication, and the ability to thrive in remote or distributed environments.
- You will drive product requirements and roadmap planning in close partnership with cross-functional teams while leading the design, architecture, and implementation of highly scalable cloud solutions.
- You will be customerobsessed, using agile practices to build products that deliver exceptional experiences, and you will optimize testing processes by guiding your team to create comprehensive test plans, run failuremode scenarios, and ensure highquality releases.
- You will lead and develop a highperforming engineering team through strong people management, including hiring, coaching, feedback, and performance management.
- You will champion operational excellence across the organization by enforcing secure development best practices, rigorous code reviews, unit testing, and scalability standards.
About You
- You should have bring 1418 years of software development experience with at least 5 years of leadership as a Manager or Director of a product development team.
- You should have 5+ years of fullstack, cloud-native development expertise building highperforming, scalable applications on AWS or Azure.
- You should have experience in designing, architecting and deploying advanced Agentic and AI/LLM-driven applications with strong protections for security, privacy, and identity.
- You must have deep proficiency in REST services using Golang or Python, containerization with Docker, and orchestration frameworks such as Kubernetes or EKS.
- You should possess strong skills across SQL, NoSQL, and big data technologies including DynamoDB, Cassandra, MongoDB, Hadoop, Spark, S3, and middleware like Kafka or Redis.
- You should have an experience with Safety, Privacy, Identity, Connected Home, Wearables, IoT products is a plus
- You should ideally bring experience in neural networks, machine learning, deep learning, NLP, or domains such as safety, privacy, identity, security, IoT, wearables, or connected home products.
- You should have Bachelors/Masters/ Ph.D. in Computer Science or Engineering, or an equivalent advanced technical degree.
