The Opportunity

As a Founding AI/ML Engineer, you'll:

Shape & Lead

What You'll Do

Research: Stay ahead of LLMs, VLMs, and GenAI advances, translating cutting-edge research into practical chip design solutions

Engineering: Own the full ML lifecycledata processing, model architecture, training, evaluation, and MLOps. Design and maintain production LLM applications

Collaboration: Partner with product engineers, designers, and data scientists to build AI solutions that transform chip design workflows

Communication: Effectively convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or related field
• Ph.D. or equivalent experience is a plus

Experience (3+ years in ML)

• Deployed AI models in real-world production applications
• Instruction fine-tuning and prompt engineering for domain-specific LLMs
• Built retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines
• LLM inference optimization (e.g., vLLM)
• Cloud deployment and scaling of AI/ML systems
• LLM APIs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Hugging Face)

Bonus Experience

• LangGraph, GPU/TPU provisioning, Kubernetes/MLOps
• Context management (chunking, summarization, sliding windows)
• AI-assisted coding tools and code generation challenges
• Model monitoring and MLOps workflows

Technical Skills

• Core: Expert Python, PyTorch
• Backend: Flask, FastAPI, Django for APIs and services
• DevOps: Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/Azure/GCP
• Plus: JavaScript/TypeScript, React/Angular/Vue.js, Node.js, SQL/NoSQL, REST/GraphQL APIs
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Research papers in AI/ML venues or impactful technical blog posts
• Active open-source contributions, Kaggle competitions
• Prior startup experience in fast-paced environments
