AI / ML Engineer (Intern / Early Stage)

Sequoia Print is a printing and packaging R&D studio building systems at the intersection of manufacturing, design, and software.

We're looking for an AI / ML Engineer (Intern) to work on applying machine learning to real-world factory problems.

What you'll work on:

• Analyzing production and machine data
• Detecting inefficiencies and downtime patterns
• Building data-driven dashboards
• Exploring computer vision for quality checks
• Applying AI to planning, estimation, and workflows

Required Skills:

• Python (NumPy, Pandas, basic ML libraries)
• Understanding of machine learning fundamentals
• Ability to work with real-world, unstructured data
• Basic knowledge of APIs and backend systems
• Strong problem-solving mindset

Bonus:

• Computer vision / OpenCV
• TensorFlow / PyTorch
• Experience with APIs or backend systems

Why this role:

You won't work on generic ML problems.

You'll build systems that directly impact how a factory runs.
