Position Overview
You'll develop and deploy machine learning models that run on GPU hardware aboard satellites in low-earth-orbit missions. You'll have the unique opportunity to see your models operational in flight, contributing directly to satellite attitude determination and control systems. You'll work with a dynamic seed-stage team of 6 engineers, collaborating across US and Bengaluru operations to build the future of commercial space technology.
Role & Responsibilities
You design and develop machine learning models optimized for satellite GPU hardware constraints
You implement real-time inference algorithms for attitude determination and control systems
You optimize model performance for power-limited space environments and radiation tolerance
You collaborate with hardware teams to integrate ML models into satellite subsystems
You conduct ground testing and validation of models before flight deployment
You monitor and analyze model performance from operational satellites in orbit
You develop data pipelines for processing satellite telemetry and sensor data
Must Have Criteria
2-4 years of experience in machine learning model development and deployment
Expert-level proficiency in PyTorch and TensorFlow for deep learning development
Strong experience with computer vision algorithms and image processing techniques
Hands-on experience with reinforcement learning for control systems applications
Proficiency in time series analysis and forecasting for sensor data processing
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
Nice to Have
Experience with aerospace or satellite systems development
Knowledge of attitude determination and control systems (ADCS)
Experience with edge AI deployment in resource-constrained environments
Familiarity with space-grade hardware and radiation-hardened systems
