Job Title: AI/ML Engineer
Location : Remote
Role Summary
We are seeking a hands-on AI/ML Engineer to accelerate our data science initiatives. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between computational biology and enterprise-grade software engineering. You will be responsible for end-to-end development from structuring complex pharmaceutical problems to deploying robust Generative AI and Deep Learning models into production.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Generative AI & NLP Development: Architect and deploy Generative AI applications and NLP pipelines tailored for pharmaceutical use cases.
Model Engineering: Build, train, and validate classification and regression models using AI/ML techniques.
Production Deployment: Transition models from testing to production-ready enterprise applications using CI/CD pipelines and containerization.
Code Quality & Governance: Experience with code reviews, version control (Git) standards, and developing product technical documentation for all AI/ML/GenAI workflows.
Problem Solving & Analytical Skills: Translate biological/pharmaceutical questions into solvable, structured computational frameworks.
Communication Skills: Proactively communicate with data science team members and various business stake holders.
Technical Stack & Skills
Core Languages: Python, R, Bash.
AI/ML Domain: Natural Language Processing (NLP), Deep Learning (PyTorch/TensorFlow), Generative AI (LLMs, RAG architectures).
Engineering Ops: Git, CI/CD pipelines, Enterprise containerization tools including Kubernetes, EKS, Docker and ECR
Domain Knowledge: Pharma R&D, clinical or commercial experience.
Cloud Services: AWS: S3, Lambda, Bedrock API's
Qualifications
BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Computational Biology, or AI/ML.
Total experience - 5 years
2+ Years specifically within the Pharmaceutical or Biotech industry
2+ Years building and deploying ML, NLP and Gen AI applications.
2+ Years hands-on programming in Python/R/Bash.
