Role Description The AI Lead will oversee the design, development, and deployment of AI and machine learning solutions that support Shamlatech's blockchain and enterprise application products. This full-time, on-site role based in Coimbatore involves leading a team of AI engineers and data scientists, defining technical roadmaps, and ensuring alignment between AI initiatives and business objectives. Day-to-day responsibilities include architecting AI models, reviewing and optimizing code, guiding data collection and preprocessing, and integrating AI components into production systems. The AI Lead will collaborate closely with product managers, blockchain specialists, and other engineering teams, contribute to technical decision-making, and promote best practices in model governance, performance, and security. The role also includes mentoring team members, conducting code and model reviews, and staying current with emerging AI and blockchain technologies.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in AI and machine learning, including experience with model design, training, evaluation, and deployment.
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in AI (such as Python) and frameworks (such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar).
- Experience in data engineering and analytics, including data preprocessing, feature engineering, and working with large or complex datasets.
- Background in software architecture and integration, with the ability to design scalable, secure, and reliable AI-driven services.
- Familiarity with blockchain or crypto domains, and the ability to collaborate with teams building cryptocurrency, DeFi, or NFT platforms.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including team management, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience working in fast-paced technology environments; prior exposure to enterprise applications or financial technology is an advantage.
