About the Role

We're hiring a full-time, on-site AI Engineer to build and own the agentic AI and LLM-powered features in our product, utilizing Python as the core language for our AI services and automation.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Delivery: Design, build, and ship agentic LLM-based features end-to-end, from prototype to production-grade Python services.
• Agentic Automation: Own and extend our AI Agent, using LLMs and agentic workflows to automate reconciliation, reordering, and vendor billing tasks.
• Advanced Analytics: Build retrieval-augmented (RAG) and agentic features that turn raw case data into accurate, actionable analytics.
• Data Engineering: Design, maintain, and own data pipelines end-to-end that feed our models.
• Model Management: Evaluate, fine-tune, and monitor models in production, maintaining a strict bar for accuracy given the clinical and billing stakes.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with the team to translate surgery center workflows into AI-powered features, contributing to system design, code reviews, and the technical roadmap.
• Production Monitoring: Instrument and monitor AI systems in production, iterating quickly based on real-world usage and edge cases.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 2+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 1+ years building and shipping ML/AI features in production.
• Core Language: Strong Python skills and hands-on experience with ML frameworks (PyTorch or TensorFlow).
• AI Ecosystem: Practical experience building with LLMs and agent frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar), including RAG pipelines and prompt engineering.
• Data Infrastructure: Experience designing and operating data pipelines (batch or streaming) that feed models and analytics.
• Cloud & Microservices: Experience designing, building, and deploying REST APIs, microservices, and models as production services using Docker across cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• ML Lifecycle: Solid understanding of model evaluation, monitoring, and iteration in a live product.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to Have

• Experience in HealthTech, MedTech, or another regulated/clinical software environment.
• MLOps expertise (model versioning, CI/CD for ML, feature stores, etc.).
• Computer Vision / OCR experience.
• Prior experience at an early-stage startup comfortable with ambiguity and a fast-changing roadmap.
• Familiarity with healthcare data standards.
