AI Engineer – Azure OpenAI, C#/.NET & RAG Solutions

Role: AI Engineer

Position Type: Full-Time Contract (40hrs/week)

Contract Duration: Long Term

Work Schedule: 8 hours/day (Mon-Fri)

Work Hours: IST (overlap till 10:00 AM CST)

Location: 100% Remote

We are looking for an AI Engineer with strong experience in Azure OpenAI, C#/.NET, and building AI-driven applications. This role focuses on developing intelligent solutions using LLMs, embeddings, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and integrating them into scalable backend systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design and build AI-driven applications and backend services

Work with Azure OpenAI and Microsoft AI Foundry for model development and deployment

Implement RAG solutions using embeddings, vector stores, and semantic search

Develop APIs and microservices using C#/.NET

Integrate AI services into applications using REST APIs and Azure SDKs

Work with Azure cloud services including Functions and API Management

Manage CI/CD pipelines and deployments using Azure DevOps

Build chatbots or intelligent agent-based solutions

Requirements

Hands-on experience with Azure OpenAI / OpenAI

Experience with Microsoft AI Foundry (training, deployment, pipelines)

Strong programming experience in C#/.NET

Experience with RAG, embeddings, and vector databases

Experience building APIs, microservices, or backend systems

Experience with Azure cloud services and SQL-based data platforms

Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, and DevOps practices
