Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced AI Engineer to join our Modernisation Services team in Bangalore. This role is focused on transforming legacy systems into modern, scalable, cloud-native architectures, while leveraging cutting-edge AI-assisted development tools and multi-agent workflows.
You will play a key role in designing, building, and modernising enterprise applications using modern frameworks, microservices, and cloud platformsenhanced by AI-driven engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with our existing teams on the modernisation of legacy applications into scalable, cloud-native architectures
- Design and implement microservices-based systems and robust APIs
- Architect and develop solutions using Java, .NET, or JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystems
- Build and maintain frontend applications using React, Angular, or Vue
- Develop and optimise cloud-native solutions using modern DevOps practices
- Drive adoption of AI-assisted development tools to accelerate engineering workflows
- Design and operate multi-agent AI systems for coding, automation, and development productivity
- Collaborate with global teams, particularly stakeholders in the US, UK, and EU
- Ensure high standards of code quality, scalability, security, and performance
- Mentor engineers and contribute to architectural decision-making
Required Qualifications
10+ years of experience as a Software Engineer and/or Software Architect with strong hands-on experience in at least one of:
- Java
- .NET
- JavaScript / TypeScript (Node.js)
- Proven experience with modern frontend frameworks:
- React, Angular, or Vue
Deep expertise in:
- API design and development
- Microservices architecture
- Distributed systems
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Solid background in DevOps practices:
- CI/CD pipelines
- Containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Infrastructure as Code
Demonstrated experience using AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Gemini, Codex, or similar)@
- Experience designing or working with multi-agent AI systems
- Fluent English communication skills (mandatory)
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working with clients or companies in the US, UK, or EU
- Experience in large-scale system modernisation or digital transformation programmes
- Exposure to AI/ML concepts or applied AI in software engineering
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures and messaging systems
- Strong architectural and system design capabilities
Work Model
- Location: East Bangalore (office-based)
- Hybrid model:4 days/week in office during probation
- Reduced to 3 days/week post-probation
