Role Description

We are seeking an AI Engineer to join our innovative team. This is a hands-on technologist role focused on designing, developing, and scaling next-generation AI and Generative AI systems. You will be at the forefront of building cutting-edge solutions, from multi-agent AI workflows to advanced RAG pipelines. This position requires deep technical expertise across the AI stack, system-level thinking, and the drive to take full ownership of projects from initial prototype to production deployment.

Your key responsibilities

• End-to-End Solution Development: Design, build, and deploy sophisticated AI/ML solutions, including Agentic AI workflows (planning, reasoning, tool usage) and advanced RAG pipelines.
• Hands-on Development: Engage in hands-on coding in Java, Python, leveraging modern AI frameworks and technologies to build robust and scalable applications.
• System Architecture: Architect and implement complete AI systems, covering data ingestion, vectorization, model serving, and API development.
• Production & Operations: Deploy AI workloads on cloud platforms (GCP), ensuring reliability, scalability, and security Implement comprehensive evaluation, observability, and monitoring for AI systems in production (AIOps).
• Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with product managers, stakeholders, and other engineering teams across different geographies. Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in software and AI development.
• Quality & Automation: Champion code quality, agile methodologies, and implement robust CI/CD pipelines tailored for AI systems.

Your Skills and Experience

Required

• Programming: Hands-on experience in Python and its data science ecosystem (e.g., NumPy, Pydantic).
• AI/MLFrameworks: Hands-on experience with LangChain, and agentic frameworks like LangGraph, CrewAI, or similar.
• GenAI & RAG: Deep understanding and practical experience in building and optimizing RAG pipelines, including chunking strategies, embedding models, and retrieval techniques.
• Vector Databases: Experience with vector databases such as ChromaDB, PGVector, or Qdrant.
• Backend Development: Proficient in building reliable REST APIs using frameworks like FastAPI or Flask.
• Cloud Platform: Experience with GCP and its AI/ML offerings (e.g., Vertex AI, Google GenAI SDK).
• Software Practices: Strong commitment to agile development, code quality, unit testing (e.g., with Pytest), and CI/CD.
• MLOps/AIOps: Knowledge of MLOps tools for experiment tracking (e.g., MLflow), model monitoring, and LLM observability (e.g., LangSmith, Langfuse).

Desirable

• Data Engineering: Experience with data processing or streaming technologies (e.g., Apache Spark).
• Classical Machine Learning: Knowledge of different machine learning techniques and experience with frameworks like Scikit-Learn etc.
• Infrastructure & Containerization: Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, GKE). Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform).
• Experience with a broader range of LLMs and multimodal models.
• Contributions to open-source projects.
