About the role

The Core technology team is seeking an innovative and versatile AI Engineer to experiment with, iterate on, and productionize cutting-edge AI/ML solutions. In this role, you will build the supporting data platforms, infrastructure, and tools necessary to power these advanced models. You will work closely with quants, market researchers, and business stakeholders to deeply understand complex problem spaces and transform raw research into institutional-grade capabilities. The ideal candidate brings a robust engineering foundation combined with deep AI expertise to thrive in a collaborative, data-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Engage and collaborate with business stakeholders, quants, and other market researchers to deeply understand the problem space.
• Experiment, iterate, and productionize AI/ML solutions.
• Build supporting data and AI/ML infrastructure and tools.
• Turn raw research into institutional-grade AI capabilities.

Must have skills

• Python (7 - 9 years of experience)
• Cloud Computing (4 - 6 years of experience with platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
• Prompt Engineering (2 - 3 years of experience)
• Strong knowledge of the latest advancements in AI and machine learning, with hands-on experience utilizing LLMs and techniques like PEFT and fine-tuning
• Strong fundamentals in computer science
• Proficiency in at least 1 other language such as Java, C++, C#, etc.
• Ability to build and evaluate AI models and tools using quantifiable metrics
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with developers and other stakeholders
• Adaptability and willingness to work in a start-up-like environment within a major institution

Nice to have skills

• Fintech (2 - 3 years of experience)
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field
• Experience in developing AI solutions for financial institutions
• Knowledge of additional programming languages and frameworks

Conditions

• On-site role located in Bangalore, India, requiring full overlap with IST hours.
• Contractor/freelancer role: 12-month contract, renewable.
• Full‑time dedication (40 hours/week).
