What you will do:
Angel One is seeking a senior transformation leader, an individual who has been actively involved in AI adoption across businesses and is now ready to institutionalise that capability org-wide. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role that blends AI strategy, people capability building, and business partnership at the leadership level. You will be the internal AI change agent that Angel One's next phase of growth demands.
Role Context & Strategic Mandate
As AI reshapes financial services, Angel One is investing in building a workforce that doesn't just use AI but competes with it as an advantage. This leader will architect the thinking, enable the systems, and own the outcomes of making every function at Angel One AI-capable, from frontline teams to the C-suite.
Core Responsibilities
- Enterprise AI Strategy: Own and drive Angel One's org-wide AI enablement strategy & work closely with leadership.
- C-Suite & Leader Enablement: Serve as the go-to AI thought partner for senior leaders. Enable them to set AI productivity goals, sponsor adoption, and model AI-first behaviours.
- AI Tool Implementation: Identify, evaluate and embed AI tools across functions. Engage with business stakeholders in driving pilots, oversee rollout, and create a scalable tool governance framework.
- Capability Architecture: Design role-based AI learning pathways, certification frameworks, and an internal AI Champions programme across all business units.
- Strategic Learning Partnership: Product & Data Functions
- Enable AI governance: Cocreate policies, governance councils working closely with CISO & Chief AI officer.
What You Will Own in Year 1
- Develop and present an enterprise-wide AI Transformation blueprint to the CHRO and leadership team
- Engage in a AI readiness assessment across functions and build a maturity improvement roadmap
- Design and launch tiered AI learning programmes from foundational literacy to advanced functional use cases
- Lead the evaluation and deployment of enterprise AI tools with measurable productivity outcomes
- Establish an AI Champions network across all major business units : owned, trained, and managed by this role
- Build a business case linkage: every AI initiative tied to a functional KPI or P&L lever
- Set up AI governance
Strategic Learning Partnership — Product & Data Functions
Another core dimension of this role is serving as a dedicated learning and capability partner for Angel One's Product and Data teams: two functions at the heart of the company's growth engine. The expectation is for genuine strategic partnerships: understanding how these teams work, where AI can accelerate their output, and co-designing learning interventions that are deeply contextual and immediately applicable.
- Product function: Partner with Product heads to identify skill gaps at the intersection of AI and product thinking from using LLMs in discovery and prototyping, to embedding AI-led personalisation and decisioning into the product roadmap. Enable PMs and designers to become fluent AI collaborators, not just consumers of AI features.
- Data function: Work alongside Data and Analytics leaders to uplift AI fluency across data engineering, analytics, and data science sub-teams. Focus on applied use of GenAI tooling, responsible AI practices, and helping data professionals move from traditional workflows to AI-augmented ways of working.
- Contextual learning design: Co-create function-specific learning experiences with Product and Data leaders not generic modules, but interventions built around real workflows, live tools, and actual business problems these teams face.
- AI use case incubation: Identify high-potential AI use cases emerging from Product and Data teams and create fast-track learning paths to build the capability needed to execute on them.
- Feedback loop into strategy: Use insights from Product and Data partnership to continuously sharpen the org-wide AI transformation strategy; these two functions often signal where the broader organisation is heading next.
Who you are
Background & Experience
- 15+ years of experience spanning technology, AI/digital transformation, and people or organisational capability
- Has personally led enterprise-wide AI or digital transformation programmes; not just contributed to them
- Track record of influencing senior leadership (CXO's on technology adoption
- Senior IC or people-leader experience in a BFSI, fintech, or technology organisation
- Has owned P&L-linked transformation outcomes; knows what business contribution means in practice
Leadership & Mindset
- Operates with the conviction and credibility of someone who has built things
- Able to zoom out to strategy and zoom in to hands on piloting of tools, consulting on productivity enhancers through AI etc.
- Strong executive presence; can simplify complex AI concepts for the larger audiences.
- Highly networked in the AI/tech ecosystem; stays ahead of the curve organically
- Bias for action, gets things shipped, not just designed; tolerates ambiguity and creates clarity
- Energised by the intersection of people, learning, and technology at scale
