General Summary
We are seeking an AI Developer with strong foundations in optimized software development and hands-on experience building and deploying AI applications. In this role, you will join a team responsible for delivering state-of-the-art machine learning solutions on the Snapdragon platform, with a focus on achieving best-in-class performance and usability.
You will work on technical initiatives that enhance the AI optimization workflow for application developers targeting
Windows on Snapdragon. This includes driving improvements across the software stackSDKs, tools, and documentationto maximize performance, developer productivity, and ease of adoption. You will also spearhead initiatives to deploy cutting-edge Generative AI models on edge platforms.
Responsibilities
- Enable and enhance the Windows AI platform on Snapdragon through contributions to the Snapdragon software stack.
- Drive the AI optimization workflow for Windows application developers, focusing on performance, accuracy, and usability.
- Continuously improve key performance indicators (KPIs) for AI models running on Windows on Snapdragon.
- Stay current with the latest trends in machine learning, large language models (LLMs), and GenAI by engaging with application developers and reviewing cutting-edge academic and industry research.
- Collaborate with cross-site and cross-functional teams to deliver best-in-class, high-performance AI solutions that can be leveraged by third-party Windows application developers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues related to AI application development, ensuring a near-zero barrier to entry for Windows on Snapdragon.
- Drive improvements to SDKs, tools, and documentation to accelerate developer onboarding and success.
Skills And Experience
- 13 years of experience in AI or machine learning application development.
- Experience optimizing AI models for performance and accuracy on hardware accelerators such as CPU, GPU, and NPU.
- Hands-on understanding of Generative AI models, including LLMs, LVMs, and LMMs, and core concepts such as attention mechanisms, KV caching, and LoRA.
- Working knowledge of at least one AI framework: PyTorch, TensorFlow Lite, or ONNX Runtime.
- Experience building LLM-powered applications using modern AI/ML tools and workflows, preferably on Windows across CPU, GPU, or NPU.
- Proficiency in C, C++, and Python.
- Solid understanding of quantization techniques and familiarity with fixed-point representations for AI models.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, think critically, and adapt in a fast-paced, evolving technical environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
