Key Responsibilities
- Edge AI Architecture & Design: Define and lead the design of AI architectures optimized for edge deployment in autonomous driving systems.
- Algorithm Development: Develop and optimize AI/ML models for perception, sensor fusion, localization, and planning (e.g., camera, radar, LiDAR).
- HW/SW Co-Optimization: Collaborate with SoC, hardware acceleration, and architecture teams to optimize AI workloads for performance, power, and latency.
- Deployment & Optimization: Implement model compression, quantization, and pruning techniques to enable real-time edge inference.
- Automotive Integration: Ensure AI solutions meet automotive requirements for functional safety, reliability, and real-time operation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with silicon, software, and systems teams to integrate AI solutions into complete autonomous driving platforms.
- Technology Evaluation: Evaluate emerging AI techniques, frameworks, and edge deployment strategies to guide future product direction.
- Mentorship & Technical Leadership: Lead and mentor AI engineers, setting best practices and driving technical excellence.
- Customer & Partner Engagement: Support customer discussions and collaborations related to edge AI capabilities and autonomous driving use cases.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science; Master's or Ph.D. preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years in AI/ML or embedded systems development, with at least 5 years focused on edge AI or autonomous driving applications.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of deep learning, computer vision, sensor fusion, and edge deployment constraints.
- Frameworks & Tools: Experience with AI frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, ONNX, and edge deployment toolchains.
- Embedded Systems: Familiarity with automotive SoCs, AI accelerators, and real-time embedded software environments.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead technical teams and drive cross-functional initiatives.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for internal teams, partners, and customers.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills and ability to resolve complex system-level AI challenges.
