Job Description: AI Automation & RAG Lead – E-commerce

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced AI Automation & RAG Lead to design, build, and scale AI-powered solutions across our e-commerce business. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise with n8n, AI agents, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), LLMs, vector databases, and e-commerce platforms.

This role will be responsible for automating customer support, merchandising, marketing, operations, analytics, and internal workflows using AI. You will work closely with business stakeholders to identify opportunities, build production-grade solutions, and deliver measurable business impact. Modern AI automation roles increasingly combine workflow orchestration, AI agents, APIs, and RAG systems rather than traditional software development alone.

Key Responsibilities

AI & Automation

Design and build AI-powered workflows using n8n.
Develop AI agents for customer support, product discovery, merchandising, and operations.
Integrate OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, and other LLMs into business processes.
Build and maintain automated workflows connecting Shopify, Klaviyo, Meta, Google Ads, CRM, ERP, and analytics platforms.
Create autonomous AI systems that reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency.

RAG & Knowledge Systems

Design and deploy Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions for:
Customer support
Product recommendations
Internal knowledge bases
Operations documentation
Marketing intelligence
Build vector databases and semantic search systems.
Optimize retrieval quality, grounding, and hallucination prevention.
Develop evaluation frameworks for AI response quality and accuracy. RAG systems are widely used to improve factual accuracy by retrieving information from company knowledge sources before generating responses.

E-commerce Applications

Build AI-powered shopping assistants and recommendation engines.
Automate catalog enrichment, SEO content generation, and product classification.
Create AI workflows for abandoned cart recovery, customer segmentation, and lifecycle marketing.
Integrate AI insights into customer service and sales operations.

Engineering & Architecture

Build scalable integrations using APIs, webhooks, databases, and cloud services.
Deploy production-grade AI systems with monitoring and observability.
Maintain security, compliance, and governance standards.
Work closely with marketing, customer experience, operations, and leadership teams.
