AI Automation Engineer

About the Role
We're a game studio with fast-moving, asset-heavy pipelines and a lot of repetitive manual work spread across our teams. We're creating a new role to change that: someone who can look at how we work today, spot where AI and automation can remove the manual grind, and actually build the tools that do it.
This is a hands-on building role. You'll design and ship internal automations and AI-powered tools, integrate them into existing workflows, and hand them off to the teams who use them. You'll work closely with department leads who know their processes inside-out but need a technical partner to bring newer tools in. Over time, as this function grows, there's a clear path to leading it.
What You'll Do
- Identify repetitive workflows that can be automated.
- Build AI-powered internal tools using LLMs, APIs, and automation frameworks.
- Integrate solutions with existing systems and internal workflows.
- Develop reliable backend services and automations using Python, Go, .NET, or similar technologies.
- Evaluate new AI tools and recommend practical improvements.
- Document your solutions and enable teams to use them independently.
What We're Looking For
Must Have
- 2–4 years of software engineering or AI automation experience.
- Experience building applications with LLMs, AI agents, or GenAI APIs.
- Strong backend development and API integration skills.
- Experience with AWS and/or GCP.
- Familiarity with data pipelines, ETL, or workflow orchestration tools.
- Ability to review, debug, and maintain production-quality code.
Nice to Have
- Experience building internal tools or workflow automation.
- Exposure to game development or creative production pipelines.
- Ability to work comfortably with both technical and non-technical teams.
