RED - AI Assisted Software Engineer - 7 Months CONTRACT - ASAP START - 100% REMOTE
We are seeking an AI Assisted Software Engineer to drive enterprise ready adoption of AI assisted software development. This is a contract role running until the end of the year with a strong possibility of extension. The role combines hands on engineering, governance, and enablement to ensure AI generated code is secure, standardised, and production ready while enabling teams to work faster and more effectively.
Role Details:
- Location - 100% Remote
- Duration - Until 31st December with a possibility to extend
- Capacity - 8 Hours/day, 5 days/week. CET Timezone
- Start Date - ASAP
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and standardise best practices for AI assisted coding.
- Evaluate and integrate AI coding tools such as Cursor into developer workflows and CI CD.
- Establish governance, guardrails, and validation processes for AI generated code.
- Enable teams including non traditional developers to build applications using AI safely.
- Review, improve, and standardise AI built or business built applications.
- Ensure quality, security, performance, and compliance of AI generated code.
- Build reusable templates, patterns, and prompt libraries.
- Train and coach engineers on effective AI assisted development practices.
- Continuously assess and improve AI tooling and ways of working.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 5 to 8 plus years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong production experience with modern architectures and APIs.
- Proficiency in TypeScript JavaScript, Python, or similar languages.
- Hands on experience using AI assisted coding tools such as Cursor in real projects.
- Strong understanding of prompt engineering, LLM limitations and risks, and code validation and review patterns.
- Familiarity with CI CD pipelines and developer tooling.
- Solid understanding of secure coding, compliance, and licensing.
- Experience mentoring or enabling other engineers.
