Role Description The AHA Instructor is a full-time, on-site role based in New Delhi, responsible for delivering American Heart Association (AHA) courses such as Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and other approved programs. The role involves planning and conducting classroom and skills-based training sessions for clinical and non-clinical staff, ensuring adherence to AHA guidelines and Max Healthcare policies. The instructor will prepare teaching materials, manage course logistics, assess participant performance, and maintain accurate training records and certification documentation. Daily responsibilities include coordinating with department heads to schedule trainings, providing feedback and remediation to learners, and staying current with AHA updates and resuscitation best practices. The role also contributes to quality and patient safety initiatives by promoting consistent application of life-support protocols across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Current AHA Instructor certification (e.g., BLS, ACLS, or equivalent), with strong knowledge of resuscitation guidelines and emergency cardiovascular care.
  • Clinical background such as nursing, paramedicine, or other healthcare profession, with hands-on experience in emergency or critical care settings preferred.
  • Demonstrated training and facilitation skills, including the ability to teach adult learners, conduct skills assessments, and provide clear, constructive feedback.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and diverse learner groups.
  • Organizational and record-keeping skills to manage course schedules, participant data, certification documentation, and compliance requirements.
  • Commitment to patient safety, continuous learning, and adherence to AHA and institutional standards; familiarity with simulation-based training is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in English; comfort using basic digital tools for presentations, learning materials, and reporting.
  • Relevant professional qualification in a healthcare discipline and prior experience as an educator or preceptor is highly desirable.
