- To be responsible for exploration work, when applicable, at Amtipani mine, including community handling for consent and assistance in preparation of mining plan.
- To assist the preparation of mining plan and responsible for quality of bauxite being dispatched from the mine by Collection of representative samples from mines and reconciliation of quality between mine model data and current pit operation data, certifying samples before dispatch and updating dispatch related activity with JIIMS portal.
- To assist environment department for statutory compliances & implementation of sustainability projects at Amtipani mines.
- Ensure to comply all rule and regulation of MCR 2016 and MCDR2017

Job Context
Hindalco industries Limited operates captive bauxite mines spread across Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh for its alumina refineries at Renukoot and Muri to supply alumina for smelters of Hindalco aluminium manufacturing plants. Mining operation is preceded by systematic exploration activities to meet quality requirements of the refineries and preparation of the statutory mining plan for approval by Indian Bureau of Mines (IBM). During mining operations, it is critical to maintain the quality of bauxite ores as per the mining plan.
This role is responsible for exploration work at Amtipani mine as and when required and associated community handling for consent. Exploration is undertaken through drilling crew. This role holder is responsible for logging and sampling by the geologist. Samples are sent to labs through XRF and used as inputs for preparation of the mine model. Criticality is the accuracy of the forecasts that forms the basis of the mining plan.
The role is required to aid in preparation of mining plan for approval by IBM.
During mining operations, it is critical to maintain the quality of bauxite ores as per the mining plan. The critical responsibility is to check the quality of bauxite being dispatched from Amtipani mine. It involves collection of representative samples from the mine and reconciliation of quality between mine model data and current pit operation data. Each patch of ores, being dispatched, must be certified by this role holder based on samples tested in the laboratories and the relevant data updated in the JIMMS portal. It involves regular interface with refinery quality and technical team to obtain internal customer feedback regarding quality of bauxite so that the alumina percentage is increased accordingly, and silica is reduced in the bauxite ore being supplied to the refineries. It also involves assistance in upgrading ore through beneficiation process where low grade bauxite deposit is crushed, screened, and processed to improve alumina content.
Addition to this role, assistance to environment department for statutory compliance (MoEFCC, PCB). Role also includes implementation of sustainability projects.
This role is also required to synchronize with logistics for dispatch and provide periodic MIS.
