About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and knowledgeable Agronomist & Training Specialist
Who will be responsible for developing agronomy learning modules, providing training to internal teams, supporting marketing content creation, auditing operational processes, and resolving agronomy-related escalations. The ideal candidate must have strong crop advisory
knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to improve agent competency
through proper training and performance tracking.
Key Responsibilities
Training & Development
- Design and deliver New Joiner Training as per established modules.
- Conduct Sales Training including pitch quality, script adherence, and pricing knowledge.
- Deliver Agronomy Training based on products and crop cycles.
- Prepare Monthly and Weekly Test Schedules for agents and certification rounds.
- Create training materials such as:
- Single crop leaflets
- Season-based product pitching content
- New product learning documents
- Plan seasonal training based on forecasted demand and crop stages.
Performance Monitoring & Audit
-Conduct Call Audits including:
-Sales pitch
-KYC calls
-CRM accuracy
-Partner/vendor team audit
-Match CRM data with recorded calls and verify historical call logs.
-Check product pricing accuracy during audits.
-Audit skill matrix: application usage, pricing accuracy, CRM knowledge, and advisory quality.
-Track daily performance of new agents to ensure faster activation.
Assessment & Certification
-Create and manage Google Forms, tests and evaluation tools.
-Conduct agronomy tests, review results, and maintain scoring sheets.
-Handle certification levels based on defined parameters.
Field & Agronomy Support
- Conduct field visits, farmer meetings, and expo participation.
- Handle agronomy queries from sales teams on Slack and verbally during discussions.
- Assist the marketing team with agriculture content tasks (product usage, crop cycle details,
knowledge content).
- Support product-related complaint verification and resolution, including performance and
refund assessment.
Sales & Season Strategy
- Work with teams to forecast seasonal requirements for leads and customers.
- Identify priority crops and products based on seasonality.
- Assist in improving sales processes and script planning aligned with seasonal needs.
Administration & Compliance
- Maintain a warning register for policy violations.
- Verify documents for PC (Process Compliance) and track status.
- Review new joiners during and after training to ensure readiness.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of crops, pest management, fertilizers, and product advisories.
- Experience in training, sales enablement, or agronomy advisory roles.
- Ability to conduct audits and identify skill gaps.
- Strong communication skills (Hindi + English preferred).
- Good working knowledge of CRM tools and documentation processes.
- Analytical thinking and ability to handle multi-tasking responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Crop Science, or related field.
- Minimum 13 years of experience in agronomy advisory, farmer support, or agriculture
sales enablement.
- Prior experience in the agri-input industry, marketplace, or agri-tech platform preferred.
