Position: Rater Crop Classification (Satellite & Street View Images)
Location: India (Remote)
Project Duration: 1 Month
Engagement: 5 hours/day
Compensation: INR 400 per hour
Project Overview
We are hiring suitable candidates for a Crop Classification project, where raters will label crop types in satellite images using streetview imagery as ground truth. The role involves:
- Assessing field presence, visibility, and occlusion
- Accurately identifying and marking crop types or uncultivated areas
- Ensuring highquality annotations to support agricultural data analysis
Responsibilities
- Review satellite and streetview imagery to classify crop types
- Identify and annotate cultivated vs. uncultivated areas
- Maintain accuracy and consistency in labeling
- Collaborate with project leads to meet timelines and deliverables
Education & Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Agriculture, Agronomy, Crop Science, Agricultural Engineering, Horticulture, or related fields OR background in Geography, Remote Sensing, Environmental Science, or GIS with cropidentification exposure
- Handson experience in crop identification, annotation, or agricultural surveys
- Strong visual recognition skills with keen attention to detail
- Familiarity with diverse crop types
- Experience using imageannotation tools (preferred)
