Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated Agricultural Microbiologist with an M.Sc. in Agricultural

Microbiology (or related field) and 2–3 years of hands-on experience. The ideal candidate

will conduct routine microbiology experiments including microbes revival and culturing,

microbial enumeration and plant bioassays with a focus on bacterial and mycorrhizal

formulations.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine microbial culturing, revival, and maintenance of microbial stocks.

Conduct microbe enumeration studies towards developing stability and compatibility

data for microbial products.

Isolate, identify, and characterize beneficial microbes that promote plant growth and

health.

Work on mycorrhizal (AM fungi) propagation, spore isolation, quantification, and

viability assessment.

Analyse soil and plant samples for microbial diversity and health indicators.

Assist in greenhouse and field trials to evaluate product performance.

Monitor and assess the impact of microbial applications on crop yields and soil health.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for microbial-based product development and

scale-up.

Prepare research reports, presentations, and publications for scientific journals.

Stay updated with advancements in agricultural microbiology and biostimulant

technologies.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Agri-Microbiology, Microbiology, or a related field.

Strong understanding of microbial ecology, plant-microbe interactions, and soil

science.

Experience with laboratory techniques (e.g., culture methods, molecular biology

techniques).

Familiarity with statistical analysis software and data interpretation.

Excellent communication skills for collaboration and reporting.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

Knowledge/experience of plant bioassays.

Experience with field research and experimental design.

Proficiency in using bioinformatics tools for microbial analysis.
