Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Agri Business Development Executive to expand our agriculture-focused business operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing client relationships, promoting drone-based agricultural services, preparing proposals and tenders, and supporting business growth initiatives across the agriculture sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the agriculture and allied sectors.
- Promote drone spraying, crop monitoring, precision agriculture, GIS-based agricultural solutions, and other agri-tech services offered by the company.
- Build and maintain relationships with farmers, FPOs, agri-input companies, cooperatives, government departments, NGOs, and agricultural institutions.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging opportunities and customer requirements.
- Prepare and submit tender documents, EOIs, RFPs, RFQs, and bid proposals related to agriculture projects.
- Coordinate with technical and operations teams to develop customized solutions and commercial proposals.
- Create professional presentations, business proposals, and marketing materials for client engagements and project discussions.
- Conduct field visits, client meetings, product demonstrations, and awareness programs to promote company services.
- Track government schemes, agricultural subsidies, and tender opportunities relevant to drone and agri-tech services.
- Negotiate commercial terms and support contract finalization processes.
- Maintain sales pipelines, customer databases, business development reports, and project follow-ups.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term client engagement.
Required Skills
- Strong business development and relationship management skills.
- Understanding of agriculture, agri-business, agri-tech solutions, or rural development sectors.
- Experience in tender preparation, bid management, and proposal writing.
- Excellent presentation creation and communication skills.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Ability to understand technical agricultural solutions and convert them into business opportunities.
- Strong negotiation, networking, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel for client meetings, field visits, and business development activities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and achieve business targets.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Agriculture, Agri-Tech, Drone Services, Precision Farming, Rural Development, GIS Applications, or related sectors.
- Familiarity with government agricultural schemes and procurement processes.
- Experience working with FPOs, farmer groups, cooperatives, agri-input companies, or agricultural institutions will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of drone applications in agriculture will be highly preferred.
