Role Description

The role involves leading the design of hull structures, including detailed calculations and planning, collaborating with engineering teams to optimize designs, and ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations. The selected candidate will regularly engage in reviewing designs, conducting feasibility studies, and resolving technical challenges associated with ship hull structures. Project management, coordination with clients, and working alongside production teams are essential components of this role.

Qualifications

  • Experience in marine structure design, structural analysis, and hull construction and design.
  • Proficiency in software tools such as AutoCAD, Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools, and design tools specific to naval architecture.
  • Knowledge of Classification Society Rules, IMO Conventions, and other relevant industry standards.
  • Project and team management skills, including task allocation, timeline management, and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to deadlines and changing requirements.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in hull and structural design, preferably within the shipbuilding or marine industry.
