Job Description

Position title AGM -Business Finance (India)

Location Ahmedabad (HO)

Subject Matter Expertise

  • Prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry is essential.
  • Strong business acumen with a solid grasp of financial metrics and performance indicators.
  • Sound understanding of Profit & Loss statements and various Management Information System (MIS) reports and support management in various financial evaluation and decision making.
  • Ability to provide actionable business insights through data analytics specific to the pharma domain.
  • Expertise in variance analysis, expense tracking, and margin analysis including annual budgeting and LE preparation and submission.
  • Understanding and experience on pharmaceutical pricing regulations, NPPA and DPCO guidelines.
  • Familiarity with price monitoring and implementation processes in the domestic pharma market.
  • Foundational understanding of pharma costing methodologies.
  • Awareness of current trends and developments within the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Working knowledge of government incentive schemes applicable to the pharma industry.
  • Proficient in working with large Excel spreadsheets and the broader MS Office suite.
  • Experience working in an SAP environment is preferred.

Leadership & Strategic Capabilities

  • Ability to lead and manage finance-related initiatives across business units.
  • Act as valuable finance partners to all business stakeholders including various level communication.
  • Capable of driving strategic financial planning and supporting decision-making at senior levels.
  • Skilled in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Demonstrates ownership and accountability in delivering business outcomes.
  • Should be able to lead the team and mentor the team members.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualified Cost and Management Accountant (CMA) / Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
  • 1012 years of post-qualification experience in the pharmaceutical industry (preferred).
