As an Agility Lead in Consumer and Community Banking, you will manage team-level ways of working and partner with Product Area Leads (PALs) and Technology Leads to promote shared consistency, enabling the team to work in a more productive and efficient manner.

Job Responsibilities

  • Scope & Leadership:

Own multiple teams or a full product area and drive consistency, strategy, and alignment across the portfolio to ensure coherent execution against priorities. Lead and mentor Sr. Associate Agility Leads, with accountability for team performance, talent development, growth, and succession planning across the AL population.

  • Quarterly Planning & PAL Collaboration:

Drive the quarterly planning strategy in close collaboration with the PAL, owning the end-to-end planning process across multiple teams. Align priorities, resolve cross-team dependencies, and ensure portfolio-level coherence, delivery confidence, and clear decision paths through the planning cycle.

Define and execute the prepared quarterly planning strategy across multiple teams, influencing the portfolio-level roadmap and delivery approach. Manage in-quarter priority changes without degrading delivery confidence by maintaining disciplined intake, trade-off mechanisms, and clear communication of impacts.

  • Process, Standards, and Governance:

Own and govern playbook standards and process frameworks across assigned LOBs or product areas to ensure consistency and auditability of expected Agile artifacts. Ensure high-quality, current artifacts including sprint reports, planning meeting minutes, backlog health dashboards, and Confluence documentation such as Definition of Ready (DoR), Definition of Done (DoD), working agreements, and consistent labels and components.

Partner with the VP product population to keep product artifacts and ways of working current, effective, and aligned to portfolio outcomes. When efficiency gains are realized through new ways of working, scale successful practices across the portfolio with appropriate change management and adoption measurement.

  • Backlog Health, Dependency Management, and Delivery:

Oversee backlog health and dependency management across multiple teams, proactively resolving cross-team delivery conflicts and coordinating dependency sequencing at the portfolio level. Independently identify and solve systemic issues in execution and ways of working, ensuring risks are surfaced early and translated into actionable mitigants.

  • Metrics and Continuous Improvement:

Define and evolve agility metrics frameworks, ensuring measures are meaningful at the portfolio level and drive decision-quality insights rather than administrative reporting. Drive portfolio-wide continuous improvement initiatives by tracking leading indicators of team health and organizational agility, then translating insights into prioritized interventions and measurable outcomes.

  • Senior Stakeholder Engagement:

Engage senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders at the area and divisional level to influence strategic direction, execution posture, and organizational change. Partner with Area Product Managers, TPMs, and Engineering Directors to shape priorities and capability evolution, ensuring commitments are realistic, dependencies are managed, and delivery confidence is maintained.

  • Subject Matter Expertise and Knowledge Scaling:

Establish recognized SME status in at least one domain and proactively scale knowledge across CCB Finance products through repeatable enablement and operating mechanisms. Define tracking mechanisms to measure adoption and impact, ensuring knowledge-sharing translates into demonstrable delivery and quality improvements.

Influence the organization by participating in and facilitating PAL Community of Practice, Agile Up forums, and PPO Community calls, embedding learnings into portfolio practices to drive consistency and continuous improvement.

  • AI Proficiency and Adoption:

Champion AI adoption across multiple teams and products by identifying high-impact use cases and driving scalable enablement of AI knowledge and tooling. Establish evaluation frameworks that allow teams to consistently assess, adopt, and integrate new AI technologies into workflows with appropriate governance, value measurement, and operational controls.

  • Innovation, Efficiency, and ROI Measurement:

Identify and scale innovative solutions across teams, sponsoring portfolio-wide efficiency and automation initiatives that improve throughput, quality, and predictability. Measure impact and ROI of efficiency improvements to ensure investment decisions are evidence-based and sustainable at scale.

  • Coaching and Organizational Capability Building:

Coach and develop Sr. Associate Agility Leads and build Agile capability at scale across the organization through structured mentoring and talent development. Mentor high-potential team members against the Agility Lead career pathway, strengthening pipeline, readiness, and retention.

  • Decision-Making and Portfolio Precedent:

Make high-impact decisions that shape operational and business direction across the function, setting precedent and establishing governance for portfolio-wide decisions. Ensure decisions are transparent, aligned to strategy, and supported by clear rationale, risks, and accountability mechanisms.
