Job Description

Job Summary: Lead and coordinate multiple Agile Scrum teams, managing 610 Scrum Masters and program managers to ensure successful execution of complex, cross-functional software projects. Work closely with Product Management, Engineering, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality SaaS or cloud-based software products on time and within scope.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Management:

  • Lead and manage multiple Scrum teams across different projects, aligning teams with program objectives and timelines
  • Develop and maintain program roadmaps, managing dependencies, risks, and blockers proactively
  • Coordinate across functional teams to deliver software that meets business requirements and customer needs
  • Facilitate communication between engineering, product, and business stakeholders

Agile Leadership:

  • Act as Scrum Master for multiple teams; provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to Scrum Masters and team members
  • Ensure efficient execution of Scrum ceremonies (Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives)
  • Foster collaborative, high-performance team environments by removing roadblocks and empowering teams

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Communicate program status, risks, and outcomes to executive leadership and stakeholders
  • Work with Product Owners to ensure requirements are clearly defined, prioritized, and understood
  • Manage stakeholder expectations regarding delivery timelines

Continuous Improvement:

  • Promote Agile best practices and improve processes and delivery methods
  • Conduct retrospectives and implement actionable solutions to optimize team performance
  • Encourage innovation, learning, and adoption of new tools/techniques

Risk and Issue Management:

  • Identify risks and issues proactively and work with teams to develop mitigation strategies
  • Monitor program progress, track metrics, and adjust plans to ensure successful delivery

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain documentation related to program/project status, meeting notes, and key decisions
  • Provide regular dashboards and status reports to executive leadership

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Deep understanding of Agile methodologies: Scrum, Kanban, Lean, with experience leading Agile transformations
  • Certification in Scrum (CSM, PSM) and/or Agile Program Management (SAFe, PMI-ACP) preferred
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Analytical and critical thinking to assess complex situations and resolve issues proactively
  • Experience with Agile project management tools (Jira, Rally, VersionOne, etc.)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and cloud-based development tools is a plus

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience managing cross-functional teams in fast-paced SaaS environments
  • Working with remote or distributed teams
  • Leading large-scale Agile transformations across organizations
  • Knowledge of product development lifecycles and software development best practices
