Agile Delivery Lead (ADL)

Job Description:
We, at Jet2 (UK's third largest airlines and the largest tour operator), have set up a state-of-the- art Technology and Innovation Centre in Pune, India. We are looking for a strong and hands on certified Scrum Master who will spearhead and manage overall aspects of delivery process for multiple scrum teams from Pune centre.
As an Agile Delivery Lead (ADL), you are accountable for the effective planning, coordination, and delivery of work across one or more cross‑functional agile teams operating within an Agile Release Train (ART).
You enable teams to deliver valuable outcomes predictably and sustainably by:
•    Shaping delivery plans
•    Managing risks and dependencies
•    Facilitating effective Agile ways of working
•    Coaching teams and stakeholders in scaled Agile practices. You operate as a delivery leader, not a project manager or Scrum Master alone, working closely with Product Owners, Engineering Managers, architects, and business
stakeholders across the UK and offshore locations.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning s Execution

•    Own and manage team backlogs, ensuring alignment to ART priorities and business outcomes.
•    Oversee planning, execution, and incremental delivery of features from inception to completion.
•    Facilitate effective Agile ceremonies (Quarterly Planning, Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retros).
•    Support teams in structuring and sequencing Product Backlog I ncrements to optimise value flow.

Value s Outcome Alignment

•    Partner with Product and business stakeholders to align priorities, scope, and delivery expectations.
•    Challenge low‑value or poorly defined work and escalate where necessary.
•    Ensure delivery focuses on outcomes, not just throughput.
 

•    Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate delivery risks and impediments.
•    Manage team‑level dependencies and support ART‑level dependency resolution.
•    Coordinate issue response across teams to minimise delivery impact.

Agile Coaching s Continuous Improvement

•    Coach teams on effective Agile and scaled Agile practices (ideally SAFe).
•    Foster psychological safety, ownership, and continuous improvement.
•    Use delivery metrics (flow, predictability, backlog health, capacity) to drive improvement actions.

Stakeholder Engagement s Reporting

•    Provide transparent, data‑driven updates on progress, risks, and
dependencies.Build trusted relationships across Product, Tech, and Business stakeholders globally.

Mentorship s Community Contribution

•    Mentor Leads and help build delivery leadership capability.
•    Contribute to the wider ADL community and continuous improvement of practices.

Essential Qualifications:

•    Overall IT experience of 12+ years
•    3+ years as a practicing Scrum Master.
•    Prior experience of working with UK or other regions such as North America/EMEA/APAC.
•    Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
•    Demonstrable knowledge of Agile techniques such as: User Story development/sizing, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Automated Testing etc.
•    Articulated knowledge of Agile principles and practices, ability to transfer that understanding at all levels of the organization.
•    Ability to leverage understanding of facilitation, continuous improvement, empowerment, transparency, and servant leadership to empower team growth.
•    Experience with multiple methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, DevOps.
•    Ability to effectively coordinate efforts with multiple teams within a matrixed organization.
•    Certified Scrum Master or Agile Certified practitioner - Mandatory.
•    Strong analytical and quantitative skills; Data driven, and results oriented.
 

•    Must have experience working on TFS/Azure Devops.
•    Proven experience in an Agile Delivery Lead, Delivery Manager, or Senior Scrum Master role.
•    Strong hands‑on experience in scaled agile delivery across multiple teams.
•    Excellent facilitation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

•    Confident managing ambiguity, risk, and dependency at team and ART level.
•    Experience working with distributed / offshore teams.
•    Strong data‑driven mindset with experience using tools such as Azure DevOps.
•    Agile certification (e.g. CSM, SPC, Agile Practitioner) desirable.

Qualification s Certification:
•    A Certified Scrum Master
•    Experienced using a scaled agile framework such as SAFe, DAD, or LeSS
•    Experienced in managing and delivering projects in a fast paced, agile environment which incorporates multiple teams, business areas or systems through the full project lifecycle
