The Agile Coach serves as a change agent in guiding organizations and leaders through Agile adoption and continuous improvement. This role partners across business and technology to foster an Agile mindset and practices at all levels.
Key Responsibilities
Governance & Metrics
- Implement existing HIG Agile governance standards, guardrails, and frameworks and/or enhance to Hartford India (if applicable).
- Partner with Lean Portfolio Management to ensure alignment with governance expectations.
- Monitor adherence to Agile and SAFe governance using audits, metrics, and feedback loops.
- Ensure adherence to Agile governance and compliance standards.
- Track and communicate progress using Agile metrics.
Organization Coaching
- Coaching teams to adopt organizational Ways of Working to increase alignment and delivery consistency
- Using datadriven metrics to assess flow, performance, and improvement opportunities
- Leveraging AIenabled tools for insight generation, pattern identification, and predictive guidance on coaching recommendations
- Launch and coach Agile teams, Agile Release Trains and Value Stream. Promote the Agile ceremonies (e.g., PI Planning, retrospectives, backlog refinement).
- Promote transparency, trust, and collaboration with stakeholders.
Leadership Enablement
- Influence leaders on Agile principles and organizational agility.
- Partner with Leadership, Agile roles, Agile teams, and stakeholders to align strategy and execution.
Training
- Design and deliver Agile, SAFe, and leadership training across teams and portfolios.
- Develop coaching playbooks, training materials, and capability-building resources.
- Provide hands-on workshops, simulations, and skill-building sessions to advance Agile maturity.
Continuous Improvement
- Conduct Agile maturity assessments and drive improvement plans.
- Encourage innovation and learning through Communities of Practice.
Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 9 years of Agile team execution and/or Agile coaching experience.
- Proven ability to lead organizational change and coach leadership.
Certifications
- Agile or SAFe Practitioner certification required.
- Advanced certifications (SPC, ICP-ACC) preferred.
Skills
- Strong facilitation, conflict resolution, and servant leadership skills.
- Familiarity with Agile tools (e.g., Rally, Jira) and engineering practices (DevOps, CI/CD).
