Agentic AI Intern

Centella AI is an AI-first organization addressing the critical challenges of drug discovery such as cost and time. Our AI platform, CASCADE utilizes Large Language Models (LLMs) to design drug-like molecules with improved safety and efficacy while significantly reducing costs. We are looking for passionate Agentic AI intern interested to work at the intersection of Agentic AI and Drug Discovery.

Centella encourages students to complete their academic dissertations as part of our internship program. This offers an excellent opportunity for students to integrate their academic work with hands-on experience, enhancing both their research and practical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Agentic AI Design & Development

• Architect and implement end-to-end Agentic AI systems across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Integrate large language models (LLMs), cognitive services, and machine learning platforms to power autonomous agents.
• Leverage frameworks such as Semantic Kernel, LangChain, and AutoGen for multi-step reasoning, planning, and autonomous task execution.

Data Integration & Processing

• Build Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines using vector databases and knowledge stores.
• Connect to scientific datasets across cloud data lakes, relational databases, and domain-specific repositories.
• Enable agents to interpret and act on complex chemical and biomedical datasets.

Deployment, Optimization & Monitoring

• Deploy scalable AI agents using Kubernetes, serverless functions, or containerized services on any cloud.
• Optimize LLM performance with prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and caching strategies.
• Monitor performance and reliability with observability tools, metrics, and logging systems.

Collaboration & Iteration

• Work closely with AI/ML engineers, scientists, and software developers to align agent behaviors with scientific discovery goals.
• Iterate agent workflows based on testing, analytics, and scientific insights.
• Maintain clear documentation and contribute to best practices for Responsible AI.

Qualifications:

• Pursuing or completed Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Proficiency in Python with experience in AI agent frameworks (Semantic Kernel, LangChain, AutoGen)
• Strong knowledge of LLMs, cognitive services, and ML platforms (cloud or open-source)
• Experience designing and deploying AI workflows on multi-cloud or hybrid infrastructure
• Familiarity with vector databases, RAG pipelines, and autonomous agent-driven workflows
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure AI services and Azure DevOps (CI/CD pipelines)
• Knowledge of multi-agent orchestration, memory management, and Responsible AI principles
• Understanding of security and compliance in multi-cloud environments
• Experience with scientific data visualization (molecular viewers, compound libraries, plots)
