Role Description The Agency Unit Manager (Sales) role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mangaluru. The person in this role will recruit, onboard, and develop a team of insurance advisors, providing regular coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback. They will set and monitor sales targets, track key metrics, and drive the team to achieve business goals through effective sales planning and execution. Daily tasks include meeting prospective customers, supporting advisors in client meetings, explaining product features, and helping design suitable insurance and investment solutions. The role also involves organizing training sessions, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory guidelines, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with internal teams to support smooth policy issuance and customer service.

Qualifications

  • Strong sales and business development skills, with experience in meeting or exceeding revenue and target-driven goals.
  • Proven ability to recruit, lead, motivate, and manage a team or network of advisors or sales partners.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to build trust with advisors and customers.
  • Good understanding of financial products, preferably life insurance, and the ability to provide suitable solutions based on customer needs.
  • Sound planning, organizational, and time-management skills with attention to detail and documentation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, field-oriented environment and build strong local market networks in and around Mangaluru.
  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline; a specialization in business, finance, or marketing is an advantage.
  • Prior experience in life insurance or financial services sales is preferred; managerial or team-handling experience is an added benefit.
  • Comfort with basic digital tools for reporting, communication, and CRM usage.
