Aerodynamics Engineer (Drone/UAV)
Experience: 4–8 Years
Education: B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field

Role Summary
Looking for an Aerodynamics Engineer with experience in designing and improving the aerodynamic performance of drones (UAVs). The candidate should be able to analyze airflow, optimize flight efficiency, and work closely with mechanical, electronics, and flight control teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and improve drone components such as wings, propellers, rotors, and fuselage.
- Perform CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) analysis to improve flight performance.
- Support wind tunnel testing and analyze flight test results.
- Optimize flight stability, endurance, lift, and drag.
- Work with mechanical and flight control teams to improve drone performance.
- Support motor, propeller, and propulsion system selection.
- Prepare technical reports and participate in design reviews.
Must-Have Skills
- Experience in UAV/Drone Aerodynamics (Multirotor, Fixed Wing, or VTOL)
- Strong knowledge of:
- Lift & Drag
- Airflow
- Flight Stability
- Propeller Aerodynamics
- Hands-on experience with CFD Tools such as:
- ANSYS Fluent
- OpenFOAM
- STAR-CCM+
- XFLR5
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink or other flight simulation tools.
- Knowledge of BLDC Motors, ESCs, and Propeller Selection.
- Experience with Wind Tunnel Testing and flight data analysis.
- Understanding of Composite/Carbon Fiber airframes.
