AEPS Operations & Biometric Specialist
Location:New Delhi / NCR
Experience:45 Years (Relevant AEPS Experience Mandatory)
Role OverviewWe are looking for anAEPS Operations & Biometric Specialistwith strong hands-on experience inAEPS cash withdrawal, biometric authentication, and face IDbased identity validation.
The ideal candidate should have previously worked with apayment bank or fintech organizationand should be capable of handlingend-to-end AEPS transaction operations, including troubleshooting, vendor coordination, and compliance alignment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-endAEPS cash withdrawal transactions
Monitor transaction success/failure trends and resolve AEPS-related issues
Handle biometric authentication failures, UIDAI-related errors, and retries
Biometric & Face ID Management
Deep understanding of fingerprint biometric devices (RD services, device errors, certification issues)
Handleface authentication / face ID flowsassociated with AEPS
Coordinate with biometric device vendors and RD service providers
Troubleshoot issues related to UIDAI authentication, device mismatch, and latency
Vendor & Bank Coordination
Liaise withpayment banks, sponsor banks, and AEPS service providers
Coordinate with NPCI/UIDAI ecosystem partners for issue resolution
Support onboarding and certification of biometric devices and updates
Compliance & Controls
Ensure AEPS operations are aligned withNPCI and UIDAI guidelines
Support audit, compliance checks, and operational SOPs
Maintain documentation for AEPS processes, error codes, and resolutions
Internal Support
Act as an SME (Subject Matter Expert) for AEPS-related escalations
Support customer care and ops teams with root-cause analysis
Required Skills & Experience
45 years ofhands-on AEPS experience in a payment bank or fin-tech
Strong knowledge of:
AEPS cash withdrawal flow
Biometric authentication (fingerprint)
Face authentication / Face ID in AEPS
RD services & biometric device ecosystems
Experience handlingUIDAI / NPCI-related issues
Familiarity with AEPS error codes, timeouts, and reconciliation issues
Good coordination skills with banks, vendors, and internal teams
Preferred Background
Prior experience with Airtel Payments Bank /Fino Payments Bank /Paytm Payments Bank / similar fintechs
Exposure to high-volume AEPS transaction environments
