The Position

As an Adobe Experience Manager Architect, you will:

• Design and evolve scalable, secure, and resilient solutions across the ExtWeb and Adobe Experience Cloud ecosystem, ensuring alignment with business requirements, enterprise architecture principles, and the ExtWeb technology roadmap.
• Lead technical architecture and solution-design discussions with business stakeholders, System Management, Enterprise Architects, vendors, and development teams for new capabilities, migrations, integrations, and platform modernization initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership and subject-matter expertise across Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and relevant Adobe Experience Cloud capabilities, defining architectural patterns, standards, and development best practices.
• Define and govern ExtWeb software development standards, including solution design, coding practices, testing, CI/CD, release management, observability, performance, and operational readiness.
• Ensure solutions meet enterprise requirements for security, compliance, scalability, availability, maintainability, and performance, proactively identifying technical risks and driving remediation.
• Own and guide the technical integration of ExtWeb with Adobe Experience Cloud, enterprise platforms, APIs, identity solutions, analytics, consent management, and other internal/external systems.
• Partner closely with System Management, Product Owners, development teams, and vendors to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions and ensure architectural standards are consistently applied.
• Drive technical assessments, architecture reviews, impact assessments, and technology recommendations for enhancements, migrations, upgrades, and platform changes.
• Proactively identify technical debt, duplicate or obsolete solutions, platform risks, and optimization opportunities, and establish roadmaps for remediation and continuous improvement.
• Support the stability and operational excellence of ExtWeb, including root-cause analysis of complex technical issues and implementation of preventive measures to reduce recurring incidents.
• Provide technical oversight of Adobe/vendor partners and development teams, challenging proposed solutions where necessary and ensuring quality, value realization, and adherence to ExtWeb standards.
• Maintain current knowledge of Adobe Experience Cloud capabilities, product roadmaps, security developments, architectural patterns, and industry trends, and assess their relevance and potential value for ExtWeb.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline. A Master's degree is an advantage.
• 15+ years of overall technology experience, including significant experience in enterprise web platforms and at least 4 years in AEM solution architecture or technical leadership roles.
• Proven experience as an AEM Architect, Adobe Experience Cloud Architect, Technical Architect, or similar role, with strong knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager and enterprise web solutions.
• Deep understanding of AEM architecture, including Sites, Assets, components, templates, workflows, content models, caching, publishing, and deployment patterns.
• Experience with AEM as a Cloud Service and modern Adobe Experience Cloud architecture and integration patterns.
• Good understanding of the broader Adobe Experience Cloud ecosystem, including integration with platforms such as Adobe Analytics, Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), Customer Journey Analytics (CJA), Journey Optimizer, and Real-Time CDP.
• Strong understanding of web technologies, APIs, web services, authentication/authorization, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, automated testing, release management, monitoring/observability, and modern software development practices.
• Strong understanding of web security and secure software development principles, including vulnerability management and security-by-design practices.
• Experience defining and governing technical standards, architecture principles, development guidelines, and solution design patterns across multiple development teams and vendors.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct architecture reviews, technical assessments, impact analysis, root-cause analysis, and technical risk assessments.
• Experience working with Agile/DevOps delivery models and collaborating across Product, Engineering, Operations, Security, Architecture, and business teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder-management, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical topics into clear recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to provide technical leadership and influence without direct authority, effectively challenging solutions and driving alignment across internal teams and external partners.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a global, cross-functional and multi-vendor environment.
• Adobe certification in AEM or relevant Adobe Experience Cloud technologies is preferred.
