Job Description

Job Title      -    AEM Forms Backend Developer

Experience  -    5 - 10 Years

Location     -     Bangalore / Hyderabad / Pune

Notice        -      Immediate to 15 Days

Requirements:-

·        Design and develop backend capabilities for AEM Adaptive Forms, including Form Data Models (FDM), data integrations, and form submission services

·        Implement OSGi services, Sling Models, servlets, and configurations to support complex form use cases and reusable backend patterns

·        Build and maintain AEM Workflows (workflow models, custom workflow steps, and scripting using ECMA) for orchestration and approvals

·        Integrate AEM Forms with enterprise platforms such as CRM, Core Banking, ERP, BPM, and case management using REST and SOAP

·        Implement and support AEM Forms Document Services, including PDF generation, data extraction, and output services

·        Enforce security and compliance requirements: PII masking, encryption, secure storage/transport, audit logging, and role-based access controls

·        Engineer resilient form processing: error handling, retry patterns, Idempotency, and complete audit trails for submissions and workflow transitions

·        Collaborate with architecture, security, and governance teams to align with enterprise standards and reference patterns.

·        Support SIT/UAT and production releases including defect triage, root cause analysis, and performance tuning.

·        Produce technical documentation for integrations, workflows, and operational runbooks.

Technical Skills (Must Have)

·        Strong hands-on experience with AEM Forms on JEE or AEM Forms as a Cloud Service, including Adaptive Forms runtime and deployment considerations.

·        Strong proficiency in Java, OSGi, Sling, JCR, and AEM fundamentals (including Granite concepts where applicable).

·        Proven expertise in Form Data Model (FDM), data source configuration, and backend service modeling.

·        Experience with AEM Workflows and Forms-centric workflow patterns.

·        Strong RESTful integration experience with robust JSON/XML handling.

·        Experience implementing enterprise authentication patterns: OAuth, JWT, SAML.

·        Exposure to CI/CD and release governance: build pipelines, quality gates, branching and promotion models.
